Team FOG Naestved delivered a statement road performance in the Danish Basketball League on October 20, 2026, defeating Vejen 107-82. The visitors used a decisive third-quarter surge and a balanced scoring attack to turn a competitive opening into a lopsided result, improving their standing in the early-season table.

Match overview

Vejen started brightly in front of their home crowd, moving the ball well and taking an early 12-5 lead. Naestved settled quickly, however, and closed the first quarter with a 28-22 advantage. The second period followed a similar pattern: Vejen found occasional answers inside, but Naestved’s perimeter shooting and transition game kept the pressure on. By halftime, the visitors led 54-41.

The game broke open in the third quarter. Naestved outscored Vejen 28-19 in the period, pushing the margin past 20 points and forcing the home side into rushed shots. The final quarter was played at a looser pace, but Naestved maintained control and cruised to a 107-82 win.

Key moments

• Early response: After trailing 12-5, Naestved went on a 14-4 run to seize the initiative.
• Third-quarter breakaway: A 10-0 burst midway through the third quarter stretched the lead to 20 and effectively decided the game.
• Bench contribution: Naestved’s reserves protected the lead in the fourth, keeping the offense flowing without allowing Vejen back into contention.

Tactical story

Naestved’s ball movement was the difference. The visitors consistently found open shooters against Vejen’s help defense and punished second-half rotations with quick ball reversals. Their pick-and-roll coverage also limited Vejen’s driving lanes, forcing the home side into contested jumpers. Vejen competed on the glass but could not match Naestved’s efficiency from beyond the arc or in transition.

Standout players

Mikkel Andersen led Naestved with 24 points and seven assists, controlling the tempo throughout. Emil Holm added 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Rasmus Dahl contributed 15 points off the bench. For Vejen, Jonas Kjaer scored 21 points and Mads Thomsen added 14, but the home side lacked the defensive stops needed to slow Naestved’s runs.

League impact

The victory gives Team FOG Naestved a valuable road win and a strong point differential in the Danish Basketball League standings. Vejen, meanwhile, will need to tighten their perimeter defense and reduce turnovers before their next outing. Naestved’s performance underlined their potential as a team capable of scoring in bunches and closing games comfortably when their shooters find rhythm.
