Gladsaxe Dominate Vejen 89-72 in Danish Basketball League Road Win

Gladsaxe delivered a powerful road statement on October 17, 2026, beating Vejen 89-72 in the Danish Basketball League. The visitors controlled the tempo from the opening minutes, built a comfortable halftime cushion, and answered every Vejen run with timely execution at both ends of the floor.

Match Overview

The final scoreline reflects Gladsaxe's superiority across four quarters. Vejen had moments of promise in front of their home crowd, but they could not match Gladsaxe's shooting efficiency or defensive intensity for long stretches. Gladsaxe's balanced attack and disciplined rebounding turned a competitive first half into a one-sided second half.

How the Game Unfolded

Key Moments

The decisive stretch came midway through the third quarter. With Vejen threatening to cut the deficit to single digits, Gladsaxe responded with an 8-0 run fueled by back-to-back transition baskets and a three-pointer from the wing. That burst pushed the lead to 15 and forced Vejen into a timeout. Out of the break, Vejen found some rhythm, but Gladsaxe's half-court defense continued to disrupt pick-and-roll actions and limited second-chance opportunities.

Standout Players

Gladsaxe's offense was led by Marcus Jensen, who finished with 24 points and consistently hurt Vejen from the perimeter and in transition. He received strong support from the backcourt, which controlled the pace and made smart decisions against Vejen's pressure. For Vejen, Mikkel Nielsen was the bright spot with 18 points, but his effort was not enough to keep pace with Gladsaxe's balanced scoring.

Season Impact

The win strengthens Gladsaxe's position in the Danish Basketball League standings and adds to their road résumé. For Vejen, the loss is a setback at home and highlights the need for more consistent defensive stops. The head-to-head result also gives Gladsaxe an important advantage if the teams remain close in the table later in the season.
