Match Overview

• League: Danish Basketball League
• Home Team: Svendborg Rabbits
• Away Team: Vejen
• Final Score: Svendborg Rabbits 102 – 74 Vejen
• Result: Svendborg Rabbits win by 28 points

Scoring over 100 points while holding an opponent to 74 is a strong indicator of the Rabbits' two-way quality. Vejen, for their part, struggled to keep pace once the hosts found their rhythm.

How the Game Unfolded

The first quarter was relatively even, with Vejen competing well on the boards and finding some success in the paint. The Rabbits, however, were already showing signs of the shooting form that would define the night, and the score remained close through the opening minutes.

The second quarter is where the game broke open. Svendborg Rabbits found a higher gear offensively, stringing together efficient possessions and pushing the pace whenever the opportunity arose. Vejen's defensive rotations struggled to keep up, and the lead grew steadily as the half wore on.

After halftime, the Rabbits put the game to bed. A dominant third quarter saw the home side extend the advantage well beyond 20 points, and the final period was played largely with the result already decided. Svendborg's bench contributed meaningfully, keeping the scoring rate high even as the starters rested.

Tactical Story

Svendborg Rabbits were relentless in transition, converting defensive stops into quick baskets and never allowing Vejen to set their defense. Their perimeter shooting was efficient, and their interior passing created high-percentage looks near the rim. When the Rabbits move the ball at this level, they are exceptionally difficult to guard.

Vejen's game plan revolved around slowing the tempo and working the ball inside, but once the pace picked up, they could not keep the Rabbits off the glass or out of the open floor. Defensively, Vejen were stretched thin by Svendborg's spacing, and the mismatch only widened as the game progressed.

Standout Performers

The Rabbits' scoring was spread across the roster, a hallmark of their depth. Guards orchestrated the offense with control and vision, while the forwards did damage both inside and on the perimeter. Off the bench, rotation players maintained the intensity and kept the scoreboard ticking over.

Vejen had encouraging stretches from their interior players, who competed hard despite the scoreline, but the backcourt found life difficult against Svendborg's pressure defense. The visitors will take some positives from their effort in the first quarter, which showed they can compete for stretches against quality opposition.

Season Impact

This win reinforces Svendborg Rabbits' credentials as a genuine force in the Danish Basketball League. A 100-point performance combined with strong defensive work is exactly the template coaches want to see as the season moves toward its decisive phase.

For Vejen, the defeat is a tough one but a reminder of the work still required. The margin of defeat will sting, but the first-quarter competitiveness offers a foundation to build on as they prepare for their next fixtures.
