Team FOG Naestved produced one of the most dominant performances of the Danish Basketball League round, defeating Gladsaxe 99-67 on the road. A fast start, relentless transition play and accurate three-point shooting allowed Naestved to take control early and never look back.

Gladsaxe struggled to contain Naestved’s ball movement and gave up too many open looks from the perimeter. By halftime the game was already moving away from the home side, and Naestved maintained their intensity through the second half to complete a convincing victory.

Match overview

Naestved came out with clear intent, pushing the pace and attacking before Gladsaxe’s defense could set. They scored 28 points in the first quarter and added 27 more in the second, taking a 55-34 lead into the halftime break.

The third quarter brought more of the same. Naestved continued to share the ball effectively, while Gladsaxe’s offensive possessions became increasingly difficult. The visitors led 78-50 after three quarters and comfortably closed out the game in the fourth.

Key moments

• Naestved opened the game with a 10-2 run and forced an early Gladsaxe timeout.
• A run of four consecutive three-pointers in the second quarter pushed the lead beyond 20 points.
• Gladsaxe briefly found rhythm early in the third quarter, but Naestved answered with a 9-0 run.
• Naestved’s bench maintained the defensive pressure in the fourth quarter, closing out the win.

Tactical story

Team FOG Naestved’s offense was built on quick decisions and excellent spacing. Their guards repeatedly broke down Gladsaxe off the dribble, and the shooters were ready whenever the defense collapsed. Naestved also dominated the fast-break battle, turning defensive rebounds into easy points.

Gladsaxe had no consistent answer on the defensive end. They were often a step slow in rotation and allowed Naestved too much room on the perimeter. Offensively, Gladsaxe found some success inside, but their turnovers and missed free throws prevented them from building any sustained momentum.

Standout performers

Naestved were led by Mikkel Andersen, who finished with 23 points and seven assists. Frederik Lund added 18 points, including four three-pointers, while the Naestved bench contributed valuable scoring in the second half.

For Gladsaxe, Jonas Berg top-scored with 16 points and Mads Christensen added 13. Both players competed hard, but the home side lacked the defensive cohesion needed to slow Naestved’s rhythm.

What it means for the standings

The win is a significant boost for Team FOG Naestved in the Danish Basketball League standings and highlights their scoring depth. For Gladsaxe, the defeat is a reminder of how punishing the league can be when defensive rotations and rebounding slip.

Naestved’s performance will also draw attention from rivals. Their ability to score from the paint and the perimeter, combined with their transition efficiency, makes them a difficult matchup. Gladsaxe will need to respond quickly, particularly with a more disciplined defensive effort in their next outing.
