Team FOG Næstved run riot in 117-55 road win over Copenhagen Wolfpack

Team FOG Næstved produced one of the most dominant performances of the Danish Basketball League season on October 10, 2026, crushing Copenhagen Wolfpack 117-55 on the road. The 62-point margin told the story of a night when almost everything went right for the visitors, while the Wolfpack were left searching for answers on both ends of the floor.

From the opening tip, Næstved played with pace, purpose and relentless pressure. They turned early Wolfpack possessions into quick transition chances and never allowed the home side to settle into a half-court rhythm. By the time the first quarter ended, the game already had the feel of a runaway.

Match overview

Næstved controlled every quarter, building a lead that grew steadily rather than arriving in one sudden burst. The visitors led 32-12 after the first, 60-27 at halftime, 90-41 after three, and finished the job with a 27-14 fourth quarter. Copenhagen’s best moments were brief, and each time they threatened to string together a run, Næstved answered with a bigger one.

The final score of 117-55 reflected Næstved’s superiority in shooting, rebounding and turnover creation. Copenhagen Wolfpack managed just 55 points, their lowest offensive output of the early Basketligaen campaign, while Næstved posted a season-high total.

Key moments

• Opening statement: Næstved began with a 15-2 run, forcing Copenhagen into early turnovers and hurried shots.
• Second-quarter separation: A 14-0 surge midway through the second period pushed the lead beyond 30 points and effectively ended the contest.
• Third-quarter knockout: Næstved opened the second half with back-to-back three-pointers and a fast-break dunk, extending the margin to 40.
• Bench finish: The visitors’ reserves maintained the same intensity in the fourth, closing the game with a comfortable 27-point quarter.

Tactical story

Næstved’s full-court pressure was the foundation of the win. They trapped Copenhagen’s ball handlers near the sidelines, rotated aggressively in the passing lanes, and converted steals into easy layups. On offense, the visitors spread the floor with four shooters around a mobile big man, which opened driving lanes and created open corner threes.

Copenhagen Wolfpack tried to slow the game with half-court sets, but their entry passes were contested and their outside shooting was cold. When they did break the press, they often rushed the finish. Defensively, the Wolfpack could not contain Næstved’s dribble penetration, and the help rotations left shooters open on the perimeter.

Standout players

Næstved’s backcourt set the tone, with their point guard controlling tempo and their shooting guard knocking down open looks in transition. The team’s captain added steady leadership and several timely steals, while the frontcourt dominated the glass at both ends. Copenhagen’s leading scorer fought hard in the second half, but there was little support around him.

Season impact

The result is a major statement in the Danish Basketball League standings. Næstved improve their point differential significantly and send a warning to the rest of the Basketligaen. For Copenhagen Wolfpack, the loss is a harsh lesson in ball security and defensive communication. They will need a short memory and a much sharper home performance in their next outing.
