SBK Sadska (W) produced a dominant home display on Saturday, October 17, 2026, dismantling Levhartice Chomutov B Women 91-58 in Czech Women's Liga1 action. A fast start and relentless pressure defense set the tone, and the hosts never looked back on the way to a 33-point victory.

Match Overview

Sadska came out firing, establishing a double-digit lead inside the opening minutes and controlling every facet of play. The hosts moved the ball crisply, attacked the basket with confidence and converted turnovers into easy transition points. Chomutov B found it difficult to establish any offensive rhythm against Sadska's aggressive on-ball pressure, and the gap widened steadily as the game wore on.

• Q2: Sadska 22-16 Chomutov B

Key Moments

The game's decisive stretch came in the closing minutes of the first quarter and the opening minutes of the second. Leading 14-10, Sadska rattled off a 16-2 run bridging the quarter break, turning a competitive start into a commanding advantage. The run featured three steals, two fast-break layups and a pair of three-pointers that forced Chomutov B into a timeout.

Any hopes of a second-half comeback were extinguished early in the third quarter when Sadska opened with a 12-3 burst, pushing the lead beyond 25 points and allowing the hosts to rotate their bench for the closing period.

Tactical Story

Sadska's defensive intensity was the foundation of the win. The hosts pressed high, jumped passing lanes and consistently turned Chomutov B's possessions into transition opportunities. Offensively, Sadska's spacing created driving lanes and open corner looks, and the team's unselfish ball movement produced a high number of assisted baskets.

Chomutov B struggled with turnovers and rebounding, particularly on the defensive glass, where second-chance points piled up for the hosts. Their half-court offense was often reduced to contested jumpers late in the shot clock, and free-throw shooting was one of the few areas that kept the scoreboard respectable.

Standout Performers

• SBK Sadska (W): A balanced scoring performance with multiple players in double figures, complemented by strong rebounding and disruptive perimeter defense.
• Levhartice Chomutov B Women: Individual bright spots from the guards, but the team lacked the depth and execution to slow Sadska's runs.

Season Impact and What's Next

The victory is a confidence booster for Sadska and a warning to the rest of Czech Women's Liga1 about their home-court strength. Such a convincing margin also helps on any tiebreaker calculations later in the season, when point differential can prove decisive in a competitive table.

For Chomutov B, the focus will be on reducing turnovers and improving rebounding discipline ahead of their next outing. Sadska, meanwhile, will look to carry this momentum into their upcoming fixtures as the Liga1 season continues to take shape, with standings, results and top-scorer rankings all set to be updated in the coming weeks.
