USK Prague produced a commanding home performance in the Narodni Basketbalova Liga, defeating Srsni Pisek 105–89. The 16-point margin reflects a game in which the hosts gradually wore down their opponents, pulling away in the second half behind balanced scoring and disciplined defence. It was a result that underlined Prague's depth and their ability to control games on their own floor.

Match Overview

The contest opened at a frantic pace, with both teams trading baskets and neither able to establish early separation. Srsni Pisek came out confident, moving the ball sharply and finding success against Prague's initial defensive scheme. But as the first half progressed, USK Prague began to impose their preferred rhythm, tightening up on the defensive end and turning stops into transition opportunities.

By the closing stages, the story of the game was clear: Prague's offensive balance and superior rebounding had simply overwhelmed a Pisek side that competed hard but ran out of answers. The 105 points scored by the hosts marked one of their more productive offensive outings, and the 89 conceded showed a defensive effort that improved markedly after a loose opening quarter.

Key Moments

• Late second-quarter run: Prague closed the half strongly, stringing together consecutive stops and converting them into points to take a cushion into the locker room.
• Third-quarter knockout: The decisive stretch came after the break, when Prague extended the lead into double digits and never allowed it back under ten.
• Bench spark: Rotational players provided a significant lift, maintaining — and at times increasing — the intensity level while the starters rested.
• Closing execution: In the final five minutes, Prague managed the clock intelligently, working deep into possessions and drawing fouls to keep the scoreboard moving.

Tactical Story

USK Prague's approach was built on defensive pressure and rebounding. They contested shots at the point of attack, forced Pisek into contested mid-range attempts, and then cleaned up the defensive glass to launch fast breaks. On offence, they shared the ball well, generating high-percentage looks rather than relying on isolation play.

Srsni Pisek's game plan was sound — they looked to spread the floor and attack mismatches — but they struggled to sustain it once Prague's defensive intensity rose. Turnovers in key moments proved costly, and their half-court offence became increasingly laboured as the game wore on.

Standout Performances

Prague's scoring was spread across the rotation, a hallmark of a well-coached team that does not depend on a single option. Their interior players controlled the paint at both ends, while the guards dictated pace and found teammates in rhythm. For Srsni Pisek, the guards kept the offence ticking and the team's shooting from the perimeter was competitive, but the supporting contributions were not quite enough against a deeper opponent.

Season Impact

This victory strengthens USK Prague's position as a team to watch in the Narodni Basketbalova Liga standings. A 105-point performance at home, combined with a defensively solid second half, is exactly the kind of complete game that builds momentum through a long season. For Srsni Pisek, the loss stings, but the 89 points scored on the road against a strong opponent shows their offence can function at this level. The challenge now is consistency on the defensive end, where games like this are ultimately decided.
