USK Prague, however, stayed patient and continued to work the ball inside when the perimeter looks were contested.

The game turned in the final quarter, when USK Prague tightened their defense and converted key possessions in the half-court. Hradec Kralove remained within reach until the closing minutes, but Prague’s experience and free-throw shooting allowed them to close out the win.

Key moments

• Hradec Kralove’s best stretch came midway through the game, when a run of outside shooting brought the home crowd into the contest.
• USK Prague responded before halftime with a series of efficient offensive possessions, restoring control and preventing a larger deficit.
• In the final four minutes, Prague’s defensive stops and clutch free throws created the decisive separation.

Tactical story

USK Prague’s half-court execution was the difference. The visitors consistently found the right matchup, attacked closeouts, and made the extra pass when Hradec Kralove collapsed on the ball. Their rebounding also improved as the game wore on, limiting second-chance opportunities for the home side.

Hradec Kralove’s three-point shooting kept them alive, but turnovers and foul trouble disrupted their rhythm at key moments. The home side competed well on the glass for long stretches, yet USK Prague’s ability to score late in the shot clock proved difficult to counter.

Standout performers

USK Prague’s backcourt controlled the pace and made important shots in the closing minutes. The team’s forwards contributed on both ends, offering physical defense and timely rebounding. Hradec Kralove’s interior players fought hard in the paint and gave the home side a reliable scoring option, while their guards created several open looks from deep.

The margin was ultimately built on composure. USK Prague did not panic when Hradec Kralove made runs, and their ability to execute in the final quarter reflected a team with high ambitions in the Narodni Basketbalova Liga.

Season impact

The road win keeps USK Prague firmly in the title conversation and adds an important result to their league résumé. For GAPA Hradec Kralove, the performance offers encouragement despite the loss, particularly the team’s offensive execution and competitiveness against a strong opponent.
