BK Pardubice delivered one of their most convincing performances of the Narodni Basketbalova Liga season on Wednesday night, dismantling BK Olomoucko 88-61 in front of a lively home crowd. The 27-point margin underlined the gap between the two sides on the night, with Pardubice controlling the game from the opening quarter and never allowing their visitors a realistic route back into the contest.

Match Overview

The game followed a clear pattern from the start: Pardubice pushed the tempo, attacked the rim early in the shot clock, and forced Olomoucko into contested, late-clock attempts. By the end of the first half the hosts had already built a cushion that shaped the rest of the evening, and the second half became a matter of professional game management rather than a genuine battle for the result.

• Final score: BK Pardubice 88, BK Olomoucko 61
• Competition: Narodni Basketbalova Liga
• Venue: Pardubice home court
• Winning margin: 27 points

How Pardubice Built the Lead

Pardubice's offense was balanced rather than reliant on a single scorer. Ball movement from the perimeter into the post opened up driving lanes, and the extra pass repeatedly found shooters in rhythm. When Olomoucko collapsed into the paint, Pardubice kicked the ball out and converted open looks; when the defense stayed home, the hosts attacked the basket directly.

The defensive end was arguably even more impressive. Pardubice limited second-chance opportunities by finishing possessions with strong rebounding, and their perimeter defenders fought over screens well enough to keep Olomoucko's guards out of the paint. The result was a series of low-percentage, hurried attempts that rarely threatened the lead.

Olomoucko's Struggles

BK Olomoucko never found a sustained offensive rhythm. Turnovers in transition gave Pardubice easy baskets, and the visitors struggled to generate clean looks once the half-court offense stalled. Their best stretches came in short bursts, but each time there was a hint of a run, Pardubice answered with a quick score to restore control.

Foul trouble and a thin rotation further complicated the evening for Olomoucko, who were forced into adjustments that disrupted their planned matchups. A 61-point output is a tough night in any league, and it reflected both their shooting woes and Pardubice's disciplined defensive effort.

Key Moments

• An early Pardubice run forced Olomoucko into a timeout and set the tone for the night.
• A string of transition baskets before halftime stretched the lead into double digits for good.
• The third quarter proved decisive, with Pardubice's defense turning stops into quick points at the other end.
• Late in the fourth, the bench was emptied to applause as the home side closed out a comfortable win.

Season Impact

The victory strengthens BK Pardubice's position in the Narodni Basketbalova Liga standings and adds valuable points to their home record, which is becoming a real asset in the race for playoff seeding. For BK Olomoucko, the loss is a reminder of the work still needed on the road, particularly in taking care of the ball and generating quality shots when the pace of the game turns against them.

Pardubice will look to carry this level of intensity into their next fixture, while Olomoucko will focus on regrouping and correcting the offensive issues that defined this evening. On this evidence, the two teams are heading in very different directions at this stage of the campaign.
