Caja 87s earned a 76-61 road victory over CE Bisbal Basquet in Copa del Rey de Baloncesto action on October 21, 2026, controlling the game with a patient offense and a defense that tightened as the night wore on.

CE Bisbal Basquet started brightly and kept the game close through the first half, but Caja 87s gradually imposed its will. The visitors’ defensive pressure limited clean looks from the perimeter and forced Bisbal into difficult shots late in the clock. Caja 87s then pulled away in the second half with a steady stream of efficient possessions.

Match Overview

The first quarter was a cautious, low-scoring affair, with both teams feeling each other out. Caja 87s took a slim lead into halftime after capitalizing on a handful of Bisbal turnovers. The third quarter proved decisive, as the visitors increased their intensity on defense and began to find easier baskets in transition.

Key Moments

Caja 87s opened the second half with a 10-2 run that changed the complexion of the game. Bisbal responded with a brief flurry, but the visitors answered immediately with a three-pointer and a fast-break layup. By the end of the third quarter, Caja 87s had built a cushion that never seriously threatened to disappear. A late Bisbal push was met with calm free-throw shooting from the visitors.

Tactical Story

Caja 87s’ half-court defense was the foundation of the win. The visitors closed driving lanes, contested jump shots, and limited second-chance opportunities by finishing defensive possessions with rebounds. Offensively, they were patient, moving the ball until they found an open shooter or a mismatch inside. Bisbal, by contrast, struggled to generate consistent offense when its initial actions were stopped.

Standout Performers

Caja 87s received a strong two-way effort from its backcourt and reliable interior scoring when the pace slowed. Bisbal’s best moments came from individual drives and offensive rebounds, but the hosts lacked the same balance. The visitors’ ability to share the ball and defend as a unit made the difference.

Competition Impact

The 76-61 result sends Caja 87s through in the Copa del Rey de Baloncesto and leaves CE Bisbal Basquet to reflect on a promising start that faded after halftime. For Caja 87s, the road win is a confidence boost built on defense and execution.
