Especially in Sopot delivered a commanding 86-67 road victory over Wilki Morskie Szczecin in the Club Friendship series, overpowering their Polish hosts with a clinical second-half display. What began as a competitive, back-and-forth contest turned into a one-sided affair as the visitors' shooting and defensive pressure took full control.

Match Overview

Wilki Morskie Szczecin started well in front of their home crowd, attacking the basket and drawing fouls to stay level through the opening quarter. The game remained tight into the second period, but Especially in Sopot began to find their rhythm from beyond the arc, stringing together consecutive three-pointers to open a gap before halftime.

The third quarter proved decisive. The visitors ramped up their defensive intensity, forcing turnovers and converting them into easy transition points. Wilki Morskie's offence stalled against a switching, aggressive defence, and the lead ballooned to more than 20 points at its peak.

Key Moments

• Second quarter: A flurry of three-pointers from Especially in Sopot turned a two-point game into a double-digit lead.
• Start of the third: The visitors opened the half with a 12-0 run, effectively deciding the outcome.
• Fourth quarter: Wilki Morskie's bench provided some late energy and trimmed the deficit, but the result was long settled.

Tactical Story

Especially in Sopot's success was built on pace and spacing. They pushed the ball in transition at every opportunity, attacked closeouts, and moved the ball unselfishly to find the open man. Defensively, they switched nearly every screen and dared Wilki Morskie to shoot from the perimeter — a gamble that paid off handsomely. The home side, meanwhile, settled for too many contested jumpers and were beaten on the glass at both ends.

Standout Performers

The visitors' wings were the engine of the win, combining accurate three-point shooting with aggressive drives to the rim. Their point guard dictated the tempo with a high-assist, low-turnover performance. For Wilki Morskie Szczecin, the power forward battled hard inside and finished as one of the few consistent offensive threats, while the reserve guards showed promise in the closing minutes.

Looking Ahead

An 86-67 road win is exactly the kind of statement performance clubs hope to produce during the Club Friendship series, and Especially in Sopot will take real confidence from their second-half dominance. Wilki Morskie Szczecin, meanwhile, have clear areas to address — particularly half-court execution and defensive rebounding — before their next outing.
