Key Moments

The first quarter set the tone. NTSU attacked the paint off dribble penetration and kicked out for open perimeter looks, building a double-digit lead by the end of the period. Overseas Chinese University struggled to score against length and pressure, and the second quarter brought more of the same as NTSU stretched the advantage to 20 by halftime.

Any hope of a home comeback was snuffed out early in the third. NTSU opened the second half with a sustained run, forcing turnovers and converting them into easy baskets. The fourth quarter was played with the result already decided, but NTSU maintained its defensive intensity and kept the margin near 40.

Tactical Story

NTSU’s full-court pressure was the defining tactical feature. Overseas Chinese University had trouble initiating offense, and the visitors turned those difficulties into transition points. NTSU also dominated the defensive glass, limiting second-chance opportunities and keeping the game at a comfortable pace.

On offense, NTSU shared the ball well and attacked gaps in the OCU defense. The visitors generated high-percentage looks near the rim and supplemented them with timely three-point shooting. Overseas Chinese University, by contrast, was forced into contested shots and never found a consistent scoring rhythm.

Standout Players

NTSU’s backcourt controlled the game, with Chen Yu-Hao scoring 19 points and adding six assists. Huang Wei-Che added 14 points and eight rebounds, while the NTSU bench contributed meaningful minutes without letting the intensity drop. For Overseas Chinese University, Lin Chia-Hung was one of the few bright spots, finishing with 12 points and seven rebounds in a losing effort.

What the Result Means

For National Taiwan Sport University, the win is a strong statement in the Club Friendship schedule and a useful confidence boost ahead of its next fixtures. The defensive pressure and balanced scoring are building blocks to carry forward. Overseas Chinese University will use the loss as a teaching tool, particularly in ball security and half-court execution, as it prepares for its next outing.
