Key moments

The GhostHawks broke the game open with a sustained run bridging the second and third quarters. A series of defensive stops turned into transition baskets, and Tainan's ball movement created repeated open three-point looks. Taoyuan tried to respond with a more aggressive approach in the fourth, but the visitors answered every mini-run with a composed possession and kept the lead safely in double figures.

Tactical story

Tainan's pace and spacing were the difference. The GhostHawks pushed the ball after misses, attacked early in the shot clock, and forced Taoyuan's defense to rotate repeatedly. Their three-point shooting stretched the floor and opened driving lanes, while their defensive pressure disrupted the Pilots' half-court sets. Taoyuan had success at times inside, but their outside shooting and transition defense were not consistent enough to keep pace.

Standout performers

Tainan's guards controlled the tempo and consistently found the open man, while the frontcourt finished efficiently around the rim and on the offensive glass. Taoyuan's leading scorers kept working, but the team's overall shooting percentage and turnover count made it difficult to mount a serious challenge. The GhostHawks' balanced scoring made them difficult to defend for all four quarters.

Standings impact

The result is a significant road win for Tainan TSG GhostHawks in the China Taipei P League standings and a reminder of their offensive ceiling. For Taoyuan Pilots, the loss underlines the need for sharper transition defense and more consistent perimeter shooting. Both teams will now turn their attention to the next round of fixtures as the league race continues.
