• Beijing answered with a 10-2 run to regain control.

Tactical Story

Beijing’s offence was efficient and balanced. The Ducks shared the ball well, attacked closeouts and made Shandong pay for helping too far into the paint. Their perimeter shooting stretched the defence and opened driving lanes for their guards. Defensively, Beijing’s rotations were sharp for most of the night, limiting Shandong’s clean looks from beyond the arc.

Shandong’s best spells came when they played through the post and crashed the offensive glass. However, turnovers and missed free throws in key moments hurt their momentum. The hosts also struggled to contain Beijing’s transition attack after long rebounds.

Standout Performers

Beijing’s backcourt controlled the tempo and made several big shots in the fourth quarter. Their wings contributed on both ends, knocking down open threes and helping on the defensive glass. Shandong’s frontcourt battled throughout and kept the team in the game with strong interior scoring, but the hosts needed more consistency from the perimeter to complete the comeback.

Season Impact

For Beijing Shougang Ducks, this is a statement road win that should boost confidence and strengthen their position in the CBA standings. Beating a physical Shandong side on the road requires poise, and Beijing showed plenty of it in the fourth quarter. Shandong Hi-Speed Kirin will look to tighten their late-game execution and reduce turnovers before their next fixture.
