Match overview

• First quarter: Fujian Xunxing 22-24 Zhejiang Guangsha
• Second quarter: Fujian Xunxing 25-23 Zhejiang Guangsha
• Third quarter: Fujian Xunxing 24-26 Zhejiang Guangsha
• Fourth quarter: Fujian Xunxing 23-26 Zhejiang Guangsha
• Final: Fujian Xunxing 94-99 Zhejiang Guangsha

Guangsha took a 73-71 lead into the fourth quarter and then made the bigger plays down the stretch. Fujian kept the game alive with deep shooting, but Guangsha’s interior scoring and offensive rebounding proved decisive.

Key moments

The game was tied at 88-88 with 2:25 remaining when Guangsha went on a decisive 7-0 run. Sun Minghui started it with a pull-up jumper, then found Hu Jinqiu for a layup after a well-executed pick-and-roll. A defensive stop and two free throws extended the lead to 95-88.

Fujian refused to go away. Back-to-back three-pointers cut the deficit to 97-94 with 12 seconds left, but Guangsha calmly made two final free throws to close out the win. The home crowd had one last look at a three-pointer, but it missed, and Guangsha secured the rebound as time expired.

Tactical story

Guangsha’s advantage came inside. They outscored Fujian in the paint and grabbed 13 offensive rebounds, repeatedly punishing the hosts for going small. Hu Jinqiu’s mobility at the center position stretched Fujian’s defense and opened driving lanes for Sun Minghui.

Fujian stayed in the game by launching 39 three-point attempts. They made enough of them to keep the pressure on, but their reliance on the perimeter left them vulnerable on the defensive glass. Guangsha’s half-court execution in the final three minutes was the difference between victory and defeat.

Standout players

Sun Minghui led Zhejiang Guangsha with 24 points and nine assists, controlling the pace throughout. Hu Jinqiu added 21 points and 11 rebounds, while the Guangsha bench contributed 18 points. For Fujian, Zeng Lingxuan scored 22 points, and their import guard added 20, but the hosts could not get enough stops when it mattered most.

Season impact

The win gives Zhejiang Guangsha Lions an early road statement in the CBA standings and reinforces their reputation as a team built for close games. Fujian Xunxing Sturgeons will take encouragement from their shooting but must address their rebounding and late-game defense. In a league where road wins are precious, this was a valuable result for Guangsha.
