In one of the highest-scoring games of the Bulgaria National Basketball League round, Minyor 2015 outgunned SHUM in a 123-101 shootout. The 224 combined points tell the story of a frantic, fast-paced contest in which defense was optional for long stretches — but Minyor's ability to sustain their offensive efficiency across four quarters proved decisive.

Match Overview

Both teams came to run. The first quarter set the template: quick possessions, early three-point attempts, and very little half-court patience. Minyor edged ahead in the opening period, but SHUM's shooting kept the game close, and for a while it looked like the sort of night where the last team with the ball would win.

That changed after the interval. Minyor tightened up just enough on the defensive end — contesting the perimeter, forcing a handful of turnovers, and cleaning up the defensive glass — and their offense capitalized on every extra possession. The lead built steadily through the third quarter, and by the final period Minyor were managing the game rather than chasing it.

Key Moments

• First half: A high-tempo exchange of baskets, with both teams shooting well from the field and neither able to build a real cushion.
• Third-quarter breakaway: Minyor's defensive adjustment produced the game's defining run, opening a lead that SHUM could not answer.
• Fourth quarter: Minyor controlled the tempo, converted free throws, and closed out the win with a triple-digit scoreline comfortably secured.

Tactical Story

Minyor's edge came in two areas: shooting efficiency and rebounding. They shot the ball well from beyond the arc, which stretched SHUM's defense and opened driving lanes, and they won the battle on the boards, generating a steady stream of second-chance points. Ball movement was also a factor — Minyor repeatedly found the open man after drawing help defenders.

SHUM's offense was far from poor. A 101-point output is a strong night by most standards, and they attacked the rim aggressively throughout. The issue was at the other end, where they gave up too many open looks and could not slow Minyor once the hosts found their rhythm. In a game played at this pace, every defensive lapse is immediately punished.

Standout Performers

Minyor's scoring was spread across the rotation, with their perimeter players connecting from distance and their big men finishing efficiently inside. The combination proved difficult for SHUM to defend. For SHUM, the backcourt carried much of the load, creating shots off the dribble and keeping the visitors competitive well into the second half.

Season Impact

This result gives Minyor 2015 a confidence-boosting win and a strong points differential in the Bulgaria National Basketball League table — an asset that can matter when the standings tighten later in the season. It also confirms that their offense is capable of matching anyone in a high-possession game.

For SHUM, the night is a reminder that scoring 100 points is not enough if the defensive numbers do not follow. Tightening the half-court defense will be the coaching staff's clear priority in the coming fixtures.

What's Next

Minyor will look to replicate the offensive fluency while gradually improving their defensive consistency, and SHUM will aim to bring the same scoring punch with a far stingier effort at the other end.
