Brusque secured an impressive road victory in the Brazil Campeonato FCB, defeating Our Team Joinville 84-72 in a game that was competitive for three quarters before the visitors pulled away down the stretch. Brusque's balanced scoring and superior rebounding proved decisive, handing Joinville a frustrating home defeat in front of their own supporters.

Match Overview

The Brazil Campeonato FCB clash in Joinville promised a tight contest between two sides familiar with each other's tendencies, and for long stretches it delivered. Our Team Joinville started brightly, using their home crowd to fuel an energetic opening and keeping the game within a single possession through the first quarter. Brusque, however, were patient and methodical, chipping away at the deficit with efficient interior play and timely three-point shooting.

By halftime, Brusque had established a narrow advantage, and the third quarter proved the turning point. A sustained run on both ends of the floor stretched the lead into double digits, and Joinville never found the offensive consistency to mount a genuine comeback. The final 12-point margin reflected Brusque's control over the closing minutes.

Key Moments

• Fast start for Joinville: The hosts opened with aggression, attacking the basket and converting early opportunities to stay level in the first quarter.
• Brusque's second-quarter push: A series of defensive stops and converted fast breaks gave Brusque their first meaningful lead before the interval.
• Third-quarter breakaway: Brusque came out of the locker room with purpose, stringing together a decisive run that pushed the advantage into double figures.
• Composed finish: In the fourth, Brusque managed the clock, limited turnovers and knocked down key free throws to deny any late Joinville surge.

Tactical Story

Brusque's game plan revolved around controlling the defensive glass and forcing Joinville into inefficient mid-range attempts. The strategy worked: the visitors won the rebounding battle, limited second-chance points and consistently turned defensive stops into quick offense at the other end. Their ball movement in the half court created open looks, and they capitalized with a strong shooting night from the perimeter.

Our Team Joinville's offense, by contrast, became increasingly reliant on individual creation as the game wore on. When Brusque's defense tightened and the open driving lanes disappeared, Joinville's possessions grew longer and their shooting percentage dipped. The hosts competed hard on the boards but could not match Brusque's efficiency in transition — the single biggest difference in the final score.

Standout Performances

Brusque's balanced attack was the story of the night, with contributions across the rotation rather than reliance on a single scorer. Their guards controlled tempo and made smart decisions in the pick-and-roll, while the frontcourt battled on the boards and finished efficiently around the rim. It was a complete team performance, the kind that travels well in the Campeonato FCB.

For Our Team Joinville, the scoring load was carried by their primary offensive options, who kept the scoreboard respectable with drives and perimeter shooting. The supporting cast struggled to find rhythm, and defensive lapses in the third quarter proved too costly to recover from.

Season Impact and What's Next

The win strengthens Brusque's standing in the Brazil Campeonato FCB and underlines their credentials as a side capable of winning on the road against quality opposition. For Our Team Joinville, the loss is a setback in the race for position, and the coaching staff will be examining the third-quarter collapse and the rebounding deficit as key areas for improvement.

With the Campeonato FCB schedule moving quickly, both teams will have little time to dwell on the result. Brusque will aim to carry their road form into the next fixture, while Joinville will target a response on the road as they look to climb back up the standings.
