Osasco Basket produced a dominant road performance in the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB), defeating Fortaleza B.C. 93-69 on October 21, 2026. Osasco controlled the game from the opening minutes, using sharp perimeter shooting and aggressive transition play to turn a competitive first quarter into a comfortable victory.

Match overview

Osasco set the tone with a 14-2 run in the opening minutes, forcing Fortaleza into early turnovers and contested shots. Fortaleza settled briefly in the second quarter behind interior scoring, but Osasco’s ball movement consistently created open looks from beyond the arc. By halftime, Osasco had built a double-digit lead and had already begun to dictate the tempo of the game.

The third quarter proved decisive. Osasco opened the second half with back-to-back threes and extended the lead with an 11-0 run that took the game out of Fortaleza’s reach. Fortaleza never found a consistent offensive rhythm, and Osasco’s bench maintained the intensity through the final ten minutes.

Key moments

The most important stretch came early in the third quarter. Leading 48-35 at halftime, Osasco scored the first eight points of the second half, capped by a transition dunk after a Fortaleza turnover. That run forced a timeout and shifted the game from competitive to one-sided. Fortaleza briefly responded with a 6-0 spurt, but Osasco answered immediately with a pair of three-pointers to restore control.

• Osasco’s 14-2 opening run set the tone for the night.
• An 11-0 third-quarter burst broke the game open.
• Fortaleza struggled to contain Osasco’s dribble penetration and kick-out threes.

Tactical story

Osasco’s offense was built on pace and spacing. Their guards pushed the ball after every made basket and miss, forcing Fortaleza’s defense to scramble. When Fortaleza collapsed into the paint, Osasco found open shooters on the perimeter. Defensively, Osasco used active hands and timely rotations to disrupt Fortaleza’s half-court sets, turning several possessions into transition points.

Fortaleza’s best moments came when they slowed the game down and attacked through the post. However, the hosts were unable to string together enough stops to mount a serious comeback. Osasco’s rebounding advantage and superior three-point shooting proved to be the defining statistical edges.

Standout performers

Osasco’s starting point guard orchestrated the attack with poise, consistently finding the right pass against Fortaleza’s pressure. A reserve wing provided a major spark with timely three-point shooting, while Osasco’s interior players controlled the glass on both ends. For Fortaleza, a veteran forward battled throughout and was one of the few consistent offensive threats, but the team’s overall shooting struggles limited their ability to keep pace.

NBB context

This is the kind of road win that can boost a team’s confidence and standing in the NBB table. Osasco showed the balance and depth needed to compete away from home, while Fortaleza will need to address turnovers and perimeter defense in upcoming fixtures. The result also adds an important head-to-head data point as the league season progresses toward playoff positioning.

What’s next

Osasco will aim to build on the momentum of a convincing road victory, while Fortaleza will look to regroup defensively and find more consistent scoring options. Both teams remain part of a competitive NBB schedule, and performances like this often shape the race for home-court advantage later in the season.
