From the opening tip, both teams played at a breakneck pace. Antwerp attacked early with transition baskets, while Kortrijk answered with three-point shooting and second-chance points. The first quarter ended with Antwerp ahead 28-25, but neither side could build a double-digit lead until late in the third. The Giants led 84-80 after three quarters, then pulled away with a 12-2 run to start the fourth.

Kortrijk refused to fade, cutting the deficit to 105-101 with two minutes left, but Antwerp's composure at the free-throw line and a clutch three-pointer from the wing sealed the 113-106 final score. The win improves Antwerp's BNXT League standings position and strengthens their head-to-head advantage in the rivalry.

On defense, Antwerp switched aggressively on screens, limiting Kortrijk's pick-and-roll efficiency in the second half. Kortrijk countered with zone looks and timely three-point shooting, but Antwerp's ball movement produced 26 assists on 41 made field goals.

The battle on the boards was decisive. Antwerp grabbed 12 offensive rebounds, leading to 18 second-chance points. Kortrijk stayed close thanks to Marshall's isolation scoring, but the Giants' depth and balanced attack proved too much down the stretch.

With the 113-106 win, Port of Antwerp Giants strengthen their position in the BNXT League standings. The victory is important not only for the points table but also for tiebreakers and playoff seeding. Kortrijk, meanwhile, will look to bounce back quickly, as the BNXT League regular season rewards consistency across a long schedule.

The result adds another chapter to the growing BNXT rivalry between the Belgian clubs. Antwerp's offense has been among the league's most efficient, and this performance showed why they are considered a serious contender for a deep postseason run.

What's next

Port of Antwerp Giants will look to carry the momentum into their next BNXT fixture, while Kortrijk return home hoping to tighten their defense and reduce turnovers. Both teams remain in the thick of the playoff race, making every remaining game crucial.
