Limburg Escape Kortrijk with 88-83 BNXT League Road Win

Limburg secured an 88-83 victory over Kortrijk in BNXT League play on October 24, 2026, closing the game with a composed fourth-quarter performance that turned a tight contest into a valuable road result. The five-point margin reflected how little separated the teams for long stretches, but Limburg made the bigger plays on both ends when the game reached its decisive phase.

Match overview

Kortrijk opened with energy in front of their home crowd and attacked the paint early, but Limburg answered with balanced scoring and a quick passing game that kept the defense moving. The first quarter ended with Limburg ahead 23-20, and the teams traded runs through the second and third periods. Kortrijk briefly took control after halftime by forcing turnovers and scoring in transition, yet Limburg stayed within striking distance before pulling away late.

Quarter scoring: Kortrijk 20-21-22-20—83; Limburg 23-19-21-25—88.

Key moments

The fourth quarter was the difference. With the score close entering the final minutes, Limburg produced a 10-2 run built on defensive stops, a transition layup and two timely three-pointers. Kortrijk answered with free throws and a late basket inside, but Limburg protected the lead at the line and forced a difficult final possession. The visitors' ability to slow the game down in the last two minutes stood out.

Tactical story

Limburg's perimeter defense and control of the defensive glass gave them just enough separation. Kortrijk did much of its damage inside, using drives and second-chance opportunities to stay in touch, but the home side struggled to contain Limburg's dribble penetration in the closing stretch. Limburg also moved the ball well against the zone, creating open looks from beyond the arc when Kortrijk collapsed into the paint.

Standout players

Limburg's lead guard set the tone with a game-high 24 points and several key assists, while the visitors' frontcourt contributed important offensive rebounds. Kortrijk's top scorer kept the home side alive with 21 points, and their bench provided energy in the second quarter. In the end, Limburg's late execution and free-throw shooting proved decisive.

Standings and season impact

The road win gives Limburg important momentum in the BNXT League standings and adds a useful result to their head-to-head record. For Kortrijk, the loss is a narrow one against a direct competitor, but the performance showed enough fight to suggest they can bounce back quickly. Both teams now turn their attention to the next round of BNXT fixtures.
