RMU Banovici (W) claimed a convincing 78-62 victory over KK Zeniza (W) in the BIH Women’s League on October 19, 2026. The home side controlled the game through disciplined defense and efficient scoring, gradually pulling away after a competitive opening quarter.

Match Overview

Banovici set the foundation with a solid first-quarter effort and never allowed Zeniza to settle into a comfortable rhythm. The hosts led at every break, extending their advantage in the second half through strong rebounding and patient half-court execution. Zeniza competed throughout but struggled to string together enough stops to mount a serious comeback.

Key Moments

The decisive separation came in the third quarter. Banovici opened the half with a focused defensive stretch, forcing Zeniza into contested shots and limiting second-chance opportunities. A quick 8-2 run pushed the lead to a comfortable margin, and the hosts maintained control from there. Zeniza showed fight in the fourth quarter, but Banovici’s response on the offensive end kept the game out of reach.

Tactical Story

Banovici’s half-court defense was the standout feature of the game. They crowded the paint, challenged drivers, and forced Zeniza to rely on outside shots. On offense, Banovici worked the ball inside-out and used offensive rebounds to create extra possessions. Zeniza had moments of quality play in transition, but their half-court execution was inconsistent against a well-organized defensive unit.

Standout Players

Amina Hodžić led RMU Banovici with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Lejla Mehić added 16 points and Sara Kovačević contributed 12. For KK Zeniza, Ivana Marić finished with 18 points and Anja Perić added 13. Banovici’s balanced scoring and control on the glass proved too much for Zeniza to overcome.

Season Impact

The win is a confidence boost for Banovici and reinforces their home-court strength in the BIH Women’s League. Zeniza will focus on improving their half-court offense and defensive rebounding after a difficult road outing. As the season progresses, Banovici’s defensive identity could make them a tough opponent for any side in the league.
