Key Moments

Promo built a small early lead behind patient half-court offense, but Borac responded with strong interior play and second-chance points. The teams traded the advantage throughout the third quarter, with neither able to create meaningful separation. In the fourth, Promo found a timely 5-0 run to move ahead, then survived a nervy final minute by forcing a contested miss and converting at the free-throw line.

Borac had a look to tie in the closing seconds, but Promo’s defense stayed connected on the perimeter and contested the final attempt. The rebound and subsequent free throws completed a victory that was built more on grind than flair.

Standout Players

Luka Marić led Promo with 19 points and five assists, consistently finding seams in Borac’s defense during the second half. Amar Hodžić added 14 points and eight rebounds, while point guard Filip Radić contributed 11 points and controlled the tempo late. Borac were powered by Nikola Vuković’s 17 points and 12 rebounds, with Stefan Jovanović adding 15 points. The visitors also received solid minutes from their bench, but costly turnovers in the fourth quarter undermined their comeback bid.

Tactical Story

Promo’s switching defense gave Borac trouble in the half court, especially when the visitors tried to force entry passes into the post. Borac won the rebounding battle narrowly and scored well inside, but Promo’s guards did a better job of containing dribble penetration in the final period. On offense, Promo relied on ball movement and timely screens to create open mid-range looks, then protected the lead with composed free-throw shooting.

Season Impact

The result is an important early-season win for Promo in the BIH Prvenstvo League, giving the team confidence in close games and a valuable home result against a competitive opponent. For KK Borac Banja Luka, the loss is a narrow one that will sting, but the performance showed enough fight and interior strength to suggest the team will remain dangerous. Both sides will look to build on the lessons from a game that was decided by small margins and late-game discipline.
