LDP Donza Women produced the most emphatic performance of the round, dismantling Declercq-Stortbeton Waregem Women 85-60 on the road in Belgium's Women's Division 1. The twenty-five-point margin was built on a blistering first half and never seriously threatened thereafter.

Match Overview

Waregem came into the game hoping to use home advantage to grind out a result against one of the division's more potent offensive outfits. That plan unravelled inside the opening ten minutes. LDP Donza Women scored at will in transition and from beyond the arc, racing to a double-digit lead before the first quarter was over.

By halftime the visitors had extended their advantage considerably, and the second half was largely a matter of managing minutes and maintaining concentration.

Key Moments

• Opening barrage: LDP Donza hit four three-pointers in the first quarter, three of them in a two-minute span.
• Transition dominance: Waregem turnovers were repeatedly punished with fast-break baskets, the visitors scoring heavily on the break.
• Half-time cushion: The lead reached twenty before the interval, effectively settling the contest.
• Professional close: Despite a spirited Waregem third quarter, LDP Donza responded with a run of their own to restore the margin.

Tactical Story

LDP Donza Women's defensive game plan was simple and executed flawlessly: pressure the ball-handler, deny easy entry passes into the post, and gamble on help defense to create turnovers. Waregem struggled to find any rhythm against it, committing turnovers that turned into easy points at the other end.

Offensively, the visitors shared the ball beautifully. The assist count reflected a team committed to finding the best shot rather than the first shot, and their shooting percentages from the field were among the best they have posted this season.

Standout Performers

LDP Donza's perimeter players set the tone, with multiple contributors reaching double figures and a guard controlling the game with poise and vision. Their bench also made a meaningful impact, extending the lead during a second-quarter stretch when the starters rested.

For Declercq-Stortbeton Waregem Women, it was a difficult afternoon. Their leading scorer worked hard for her points against constant defensive attention, and the team's rebounding effort in the second half was a rare bright spot on an otherwise frustrating day.

Season Impact

This is the kind of road win that shapes a season. In Belgium's Women's Division 1, where the top teams are separated by fine margins, a twenty-five-point away victory sends a clear message about LDP Donza Women's credentials. It also boosts their point differential, which can prove decisive if the standings tighten later in the campaign.

Waregem will need to regroup quickly. Conceding 85 points at home is a defensive concern, and tightening up on that end will be the focus before their next game.

What's Next

LDP Donza Women will look to carry their momentum into the next round of fixtures, while Waregem search for a response on the road.
