EnBW Ludwigsburg emerged victorious in an entertaining Basketball Bundesliga contest on Sunday, October 11, 2026, defeating Basketball Braunschweig 107-98 on the road. The game was a showcase of offensive firepower, with both teams shooting well from the perimeter and pushing the pace from the opening tip.

The final score of Basketball Braunschweig 98, EnBW Ludwigsburg 107 gave fans plenty of excitement. Ludwigsburg’s ability to score in bunches proved to be the difference, especially in a third quarter where they briefly threatened to run away with the game.

Match Overview

Braunschweig came out aggressive, attacking the rim and drawing fouls early. The home side matched Ludwigsburg basket for basket in a fast-paced first quarter. Neither defense was able to establish control, and the teams combined for a high number of points before halftime.

Ludwigsburg began to separate in the third quarter. Their ball movement was crisp, and they found open shooters repeatedly against Braunschweig’s scrambling defense. A series of three-pointers stretched the lead to double digits, forcing Braunschweig to play catch-up for the rest of the night.

How Ludwigsburg Built the Win

EnBW Ludwigsburg’s offense was balanced and efficient. They shared the ball well, recorded a high assist count and punished Braunschweig’s defensive rotations. When Braunschweig tried to close out hard on shooters, Ludwigsburg attacked the closeouts and got to the rim or the free-throw line.

Defensively, Ludwigsburg did enough in the second half. They forced Braunschweig into contested threes and limited easy transition baskets. Although Braunschweig scored 98 points, many of those came in a late rally after Ludwigsburg had already seized control.

Key Moments and Turning Points

• First-half scoring duel: Both teams traded punches, but Ludwigsburg’s outside shooting kept them slightly ahead.
• Third-quarter surge: Ludwigsburg opened the second half with a decisive run, building a double-digit lead.
• Braunschweig’s response: The hosts fought back in the fourth, cutting the deficit to single digits with timely threes.
• Clutch free throws: Ludwigsburg iced the game at the line in the final two minutes.

Tactical Breakdown

The game featured contrasting offensive approaches. Braunschweig looked to score early in the shot clock, using dribble penetration to collapse the defense. Ludwigsburg, meanwhile, was more methodical, moving the ball from side to side and exploiting mismatches in the post.

Ludwigsburg’s pick-and-roll offense was particularly effective. Their guards consistently turned the corner, and the big men rolled hard to the basket or popped out for jumpers. Braunschweig struggled to contain both actions, leading to open looks and foul trouble.

Standout Performers

Ludwigsburg’s scoring was spread across the roster, with multiple players finishing in double figures. Their backcourt controlled the tempo, while the frontcourt provided efficient inside scoring and important rebounds. The bench also contributed key minutes, maintaining the offensive flow.

For Basketball Braunschweig, there were strong individual performances in the loss. Their guards attacked fearlessly, and the team never quit, even when trailing by double digits. The late rally showed character, but the defensive inconsistencies earlier in the game proved too costly.

Season Impact and BBL Context

In the Basketball Bundesliga, road wins against teams fighting for playoff positioning are extremely valuable. EnBW Ludwigsburg will be pleased with their offensive execution and ability to close out a high-scoring game. The win boosts their confidence and strengthens their standing in the early-season table.

Basketball Braunschweig will focus on defensive adjustments. Allowing 107 points at home is difficult to overcome, no matter how well the offense plays. The team’s ability to score 98 points shows they can compete, but they will need more stops to turn close losses into wins. The next game becomes an opportunity to tighten rotations and improve communication on defense.
