Kagoshima Rebnise produced a high-powered offensive display on October 25, 2026, defeating Kanazawa Samuraiz 106-88 in B2 League action. The home side reached triple digits behind a decisive third-quarter run and a balanced attack that proved too deep for Kanazawa to contain.

The game began at a fast pace, with both teams trading baskets early. Kagoshima held a 28-22 lead after the first quarter and carried a 54-46 advantage into halftime. The turning point came in the third period, when the Rebnise exploded for 30 points while holding Kanazawa to 19, opening an 84-65 lead that effectively decided the contest.

Kanazawa kept competing in the fourth quarter, but Kagoshima’s shooting and transition offense ensured there would be no late drama. The final score of 106-88 reflected the hosts’ control over the tempo and their ability to convert defensive stops into quick points.

Key Moments

• First quarter: Kagoshima set the tone with a 28-22 start, attacking the rim and drawing fouls.
• Second quarter: Kanazawa stayed within striking distance, but Kagoshima’s bench provided a spark to maintain the lead.
• Third quarter: A 30-19 run broke the game open, fueled by three-point shooting and fast-break baskets.
• Fourth quarter: Kagoshima managed the clock and kept Kanazawa at arm’s length to secure the win.

Tactical Story

Kagoshima’s offensive execution was sharp throughout. The Rebnise shared the ball well, generated open looks from beyond the arc, and attacked the offensive boards to create second-chance opportunities. Their pace forced Kanazawa into uncomfortable defensive rotations, and the hosts took full advantage with quick ball reversals and dribble penetration.

Defensively, Kagoshima focused on limiting Kanazawa’s inside game and contesting jump shots. While Kanazawa’s star scorer found success in isolation, the Samuraiz struggled to contain Kagoshima’s balanced attack on the other end. The rebounding battle also favored the home side, giving Kagoshima extra possessions in a game where every extra chance mattered.

Standout Performers

Cameron Reed led Kagoshima with 24 points and 10 rebounds, dominating the paint and finishing around the rim. Yuto Sakamoto added 20 points and seven assists, orchestrating the offense with poise. Kenta Fujita chipped in 17 points, including several timely three-pointers in the third-quarter surge.

For Kanazawa, Tyler Lawson scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a losing effort, while Riku Nakamura added 18 points. The Samuraiz had enough individual scoring, but they could not match Kagoshima’s collective efficiency or defensive intensity over four quarters.

Standings and Season Impact

The win strengthens Kagoshima Rebnise’s position in the B2 League standings and signals their potential as a high-scoring contender. For Kanazawa Samuraiz, the defeat serves as a reminder of the importance of defensive consistency, especially against teams that push the pace. The head-to-head result gives Kagoshima early bragging rights and valuable momentum as the season progresses.
