Boca Juniors produced a strong home performance to defeat Regatas Corrientes 95-83 in the Argentinian Liga Nacional de Básquetbol on October 29, 2026. A decisive third-quarter run and efficient perimeter shooting helped Boca pull away from a resilient Regatas side that stayed within reach for much of the first half.

Match overview

Boca Juniors set the tone early with aggressive transition play and quick ball movement. Regatas responded with inside scoring and timely three-pointers, keeping the game close after the first quarter. The visitors were still within striking distance at halftime, but Boca’s depth and defensive pressure took over after the break.

• Quarter-by-quarter: Boca Juniors 26-20, 21-23, 25-18, 23-22
• Final score: Boca Juniors 95, Regatas Corrientes 83
• Competition: Argentinian Liga Nacional de Básquetbol

Key moments

The game turned in the third quarter. Boca opened the second half with a 12-2 run, forcing Regatas into turnovers and rushed shots. The home crowd lifted the intensity, and Boca’s guards began finding open shooters on the wings. Regatas briefly cut the deficit to single digits late in the third, but Boca answered with a pair of clutch three-pointers to restore control.

In the fourth quarter, Regatas continued to fight but could not string together enough defensive stops. Boca’s free-throw shooting and offensive rebounding closed the door in the final minutes.

Tactical story

Boca’s offense was built on pace and spacing. Their guards attacked the paint, drew help defenders, and kicked the ball to open shooters. When Regatas adjusted, Boca used backdoor cuts and offensive rebounds to keep possessions alive. Defensively, Boca pressured the ball and forced Regatas into several late-clock situations.

Regatas had success inside, especially when their forwards established deep position, but they struggled to contain Boca’s transition attack. The visitors also committed costly turnovers in the third quarter, which allowed Boca to build a cushion.

Standout performers

Boca’s backcourt controlled the game with scoring and playmaking, while their frontcourt provided energy on the boards. Regatas’s leading interior scorer kept them competitive, and their perimeter players hit several tough shots. However, Boca’s balance and depth proved too much over four quarters.

What it means

The win strengthens Boca Juniors’ position in the Liga Nacional standings and reinforces their home-court advantage. Regatas leave with positives from their offensive performance but will need to improve their defensive consistency. In a league where playoff seeding can hinge on point differential and road form, Boca’s ability to protect home court could prove crucial later in the season.
