Key Players and Performances

• María López (Ferrocarril Oeste Women) – A game-high 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting, plus 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Her scoring from all three levels was unstoppable.
• Lucía Fernández (Ferrocarril Oeste Women) – 18 points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds. She orchestrated the offense with precision.
• Valentina Rodríguez (CD Chanares W) – 20 points and 6 rebounds, but struggled with efficiency (7-of-19 from the field).

Tactical Analysis

Ferrocarril Oeste head coach Gabriela Sosa designed a game plan that exploited CD Chanares’ weak interior defense. By spreading the floor and using ball screens, Ferrocarril Oeste created mismatches that allowed their guards to attack the rim or kick out to open shooters. Defensively, they switched aggressively on pick-and-rolls, neutralizing Chanares’ primary scorer, Valentina Rodríguez. The visitors also dominated the glass, grabbing 42 rebounds to Chanares’ 29.

Impact on the LLF Standings

The win improves Ferrocarril Oeste’s record to 11–5, keeping them in the top three of the Argentina Women’s LLF. CD Chanares, meanwhile, falls to 7–9 and must regroup quickly to stay in playoff contention. The result also extends Ferrocarril Oeste’s winning streak to four games, building strong momentum as the season enters its decisive phase.
