Obera LDD edged Platense LDD 63-60 on the road in Argentina's Liga Nacional development competition, winning a tense, defence-first contest that came down to the final possessions.

In a game where neither team ever looked fully comfortable offensively, Obera's poise in the closing minutes — and a couple of timely stops at the rim — proved just enough to leave Platense with a narrow home defeat on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Match Overview

• Final score: Platense LDD 60 – 63 Obera LDD
• Competition: Argentina Liga Nacional (LDD development division)
• Venue: Platense's home court
• Date: October 17, 2026

The three-point margin tells the story of a night defined by defensive rotations, hurried shot clocks, and two young rosters learning to execute under pressure. In development basketball, results matter — but so does the process, and both coaching staffs will have found plenty to work with.

First Half: A Defensive Stalemate

Platense started aggressively, using their guards to probe the paint and draw help defenders. Tomás Bautista Ríos scored early on a pair of drives, and Lautaro Gómez added a step-back jumper to give the hosts the first meaningful lead of the game.

Obera responded the way they have all season: with patience. Point guard Agustín Bogado controlled tempo, refused to force bad shots, and repeatedly found cutters behind Platense's over-aggressive help defence. A 9-0 run late in the second quarter flipped the momentum and sent the visitors into halftime with a slim advantage.

Second Half: Trading Blows

The third quarter was a grind. Platense's zone disrupted Obera's half-court rhythm, and Santiago Müller — Obera's most reliable interior presence — was forced into difficult, contested looks. At the other end, Platense found second-chance points through Facundo Aguirre, who attacked the offensive glass relentlessly.

Neither side could build a lead larger than six points after the break. Every run was answered, every timeout followed by a momentum-shifting basket.

Key Moments

• A corner three from Obera's Ignacio Pereyra late in the third gave the visitors their biggest cushion of the second half.
• Platense tied the game with under three minutes remaining on a transition layup after a steal at half court.
• Obera's decisive possession ended in a mid-range jumper and a foul, producing a three-point play that restored a two-possession gap.
• A final Platense three-point attempt in the closing seconds rimmed out, sealing the result.

Standout Performers

• Agustín Bogado (Obera LDD): The game's most composed player — controlled pace, limited turnovers, and made the right read in crunch time.
• Santiago Müller (Obera LDD): Battled through double teams and delivered key close-range baskets.
• Tomás Bautista Ríos (Platense LDD): The hosts' primary scoring threat, consistently creating his own shot.
• Facundo Aguirre (Platense LDD): His energy on the boards kept Platense in the game.

Tactical Story

Platense's zone defence was effective for long stretches and forced Obera into late-clock situations, but it also surrendered offensive rebounds that produced second-chance points. Obera's man-to-man pressure, meanwhile, disrupted Platense's half-court sets and forced them into a lower-percentage shot profile.

In a game decided by three points, the difference came down to free throws and turnovers: Obera committed fewer live-ball giveaways and converted their limited trips to the line, while Platense left points at the stripe in the second half.

Season Impact

For Obera LDD, this is a valuable road win in the Liga Nacional development standings — the kind of gritty, low-scoring victory that builds confidence in young players. Platense LDD, meanwhile, are left to reflect on a game they controlled for long stretches but could not close, a recurring lesson at this level of competition.

Both squads will take clear takeaways into their next fixtures: Obera will look to build on their late-game execution, while Platense must improve their shot selection and rebounding discipline in tight fourth quarters.
