US Abnaa Bouna secured a hard-fought 68-63 road win against AS Constantine in the Algerian national First Division on Friday, October 23, 2026. The five-point margin was built on clutch fourth-quarter execution and a disciplined defensive effort that limited Constantine’s best scoring runs.

Match overview

AS Constantine began with energy, using home support to take an early 17-16 lead after the first quarter. US Abnaa Bouna responded in the second, tightening their defense and moving the ball more patiently to edge ahead 34-31 at halftime. The third quarter was a back-and-forth affair, with Constantine briefly reclaiming the lead before Bouna closed the period with a two-point advantage. The visitors then controlled the final minutes.

Key moments

With the score tied at 58-58 inside the final three minutes, US Abnaa Bouna produced the decisive sequence of the game. A contested three-pointer from the wing gave them the lead, and a defensive stop on the next possession led to a fast-break layup. Constantine cut the deficit to three with under a minute remaining, but Bouna converted free throws and forced a turnover to close it out.

Tactical story

US Abnaa Bouna’s fourth-quarter defense was the difference. They switched effectively on screens, contested perimeter shots, and forced Constantine into late-clock situations. Offensively, Bouna attacked the paint to draw fouls and created open looks through dribble penetration. Constantine matched them for long stretches but struggled to score consistently when the game slowed down in the final minutes.

Standout performers

• Younes Brahimi (US Abnaa Bouna): 21 points and 6 rebounds, the game’s top scorer.

Season impact

The win gives US Abnaa Bouna an important road result and valuable momentum in the Algerian national First Division standings. AS Constantine will be disappointed to lose a game that was within reach, especially after matching the visitors for three quarters. The head-to-head result could prove significant if both teams remain in the same part of the table.
