USA Batna Women used a balanced scoring effort and a strong second-quarter push to defeat DRNB Staoueli Women 52-42 at home in the Algeria National A Women on October 30, 2026. The win was built on defense, timely shot-making, and a fourth-quarter response when Staoueli threatened to make it close.

Match overview

Batna led 14-10 after the first quarter and stretched the advantage to 26-19 by halftime. A 15-12 third quarter gave the hosts a 41-31 cushion, and although Staoueli kept competing in the fourth, Batna did enough at both ends to close out the ten-point win.

• Quarter scores: 14-10, 12-9, 15-12, 11-11
• Halftime: USA Batna Women 26, DRNB Staoueli Women 19
• Final: USA Batna Women 52, DRNB Staoueli Women 42

Key moments

Batna closed the first quarter on a 10-2 run to take control at 14-10. The second quarter brought the game’s most important stretch: an 8-2 burst, capped by a corner three-pointer, pushed the lead to 24-15. Staoueli responded before halftime, but Batna’s defensive pressure kept the visitors from building any real momentum.

In the fourth, Staoueli cut the deficit to six with just over four minutes remaining. Batna answered with a patient possession that ended in free throws, then forced a turnover on the next defensive trip. Those small plays prevented the game from turning into a nervy finish.

Tactical story

Batna attacked the paint early and earned free-throw attempts by forcing Staoueli into help rotations. Defensively, the hosts denied clean three-point looks and made Staoueli work deep into the shot clock. Staoueli’s offense was at its best when the ball moved inside-out, but too many possessions ended with contested perimeter shots.

Standout performers

Batna’s guard play was steady throughout, with the starting backcourt combining to control tempo and limit turnovers. The forward rotation contributed on the offensive glass, and the center anchored the defense. Staoueli’s center was a bright spot, battling for rebounds and scoring around the rim, while their captain pushed the pace in the second half.

Season impact

The home victory is a useful result for Batna in the Algeria National A Women standings and reinforces their comfort in a half-court game. Staoueli leave with a competitive effort but will need more efficient shooting and better late-game execution to turn close losses into wins.
