WA Boufarik turned on the style at home in the Algeria Super Division, dismantling NA Hussein Dey 95-76 in a display of efficient offense and relentless defensive pressure. The hosts scored 49 points in the first half alone and were never troubled after the opening exchanges, running out comfortable winners in front of their own supporters.

Match Overview

Boufarik came into the contest determined to play at pace, and Hussein Dey had no answer for their transition game. The lead reached double digits before the end of the first quarter and continued to grow steadily, with the margin peaking at 24 points midway through the third period.

Quarter-by-Quarter Breakdown

• First quarter: Boufarik 24-18 — early pressure forced turnovers and fast-break points.
• Second quarter: Boufarik 25-19 — the hosts extended their advantage before the break.
• Third quarter: Boufarik 23-20 — the lead ballooned past 20 before a brief response.
• Fourth quarter: Boufarik 23-19 — a composed close from the bench unit.

Key Moments

Boufarik effectively won the game with a 12-0 run spanning the end of the first quarter and the start of the second, turning a six-point lead into an 18-point chasm. The sequence featured three steals, two of which were converted into easy layups, and a pair of three-pointers from the wings that brought the home crowd to its feet.

Hussein Dey's best spell came early in the fourth quarter, when a 9-2 run trimmed the deficit to 15 and briefly suggested a late rally. Boufarik responded by reinserting their starting backcourt, and order was quickly restored with a 7-0 answer of their own.

Tactical Story

Boufarik's approach was simple and effective: defend aggressively, rebound, and run. Their full-court pressure generated a high number of turnovers, which in turn created the transition opportunities that defined the game. In the half court, they favored quick ball reversal and dribble penetration, finishing with a strong shooting percentage from inside the arc.

Hussein Dey struggled to handle the pressure, particularly in the backcourt, and their offensive sets became rushed as the deficit grew. To their credit, they found some rhythm from three-point range in the second half, but the defensive end remained the bigger problem, with the hosts scoring at will in the paint.

Standout Performers

• WA Boufarik: The starting point guard was the engine behind the win, dictating pace and finishing with a game-high scoring haul. The small forward added a strong all-around line with points, rebounds, and steals.
• NA Hussein Dey: Their shooting guard kept his team competitive with a determined scoring performance, while the center worked hard on the boards throughout.

Algeria Super Division Context

The victory strengthens WA Boufarik's position among the early pacesetters in the Algeria Super Division and underlines their home-court advantage. NA Hussein Dey will need to address their ball security and transition defense if they are to climb the standings, but there were enough positive spells to suggest better results are achievable. The two clubs could yet meet again deep in the season with considerably higher stakes.
