USM Alger produced a dominant home performance in the Algeria Super Division, overwhelming Chabab Mordjan Oran 75-54 in a game that was effectively decided by the end of the third quarter. The hosts combined relentless defensive pressure with efficient inside scoring to hand their opponents a difficult evening on the road.

Match Overview

USM Alger started with intent, using their size advantage in the paint to establish an early lead. Chabab Mordjan Oran tried to respond from the perimeter, but their shooting was inconsistent and the hosts' defensive rotations consistently closed down open looks.

By half-time USM Alger had built a double-digit cushion. The third quarter was where the game truly broke open: a prolonged defensive stand combined with a flurry of transition baskets pushed the lead beyond twenty points. From there, the outcome was never seriously in doubt, and the hosts were able to rotate their bench through the final period.

Key Moments

• First-quarter foundation: USM Alger's interior scoring established an early advantage that they never surrendered.
• Defensive lockdown: A long stretch in the second and third quarters where Chabab Mordjan Oran managed only a handful of field goals.
• Third-quarter explosion: Fast-break points and second-chance buckets blew the game open.
• Bench finish: Reserve players closed out the contest and preserved the margin.

Tactical Story

USM Alger's game plan was straightforward and executed brilliantly: dominate the paint, control the defensive rebound, and run. Their big men sealed effectively on the block, drawing double teams that freed shooters on the wing. Defensively, they switched aggressively on screens and forced Chabab Mordjan Oran into low-percentage perimeter shots.

The visitors struggled to find any offensive identity. Their half-court sets were slow to develop, and their attempts to attack the rim were repeatedly met by help defense and blocked shots. Turnovers compounded their problems, gifting USM Alger easy points in transition.

Standout Performers

USM Alger's frontcourt was the engine of the victory, controlling the boards and converting efficiently around the basket. Their guards managed the tempo superbly, picking their moments to push the pace. For Chabab Mordjan Oran, a few individual efforts kept the score respectable, but there was little support around them on the night.

Season Impact

A 75-54 win is a significant statement in the Algeria Super Division, boosting USM Alger's confidence and their standing near the top of the early table. Chabab Mordjan Oran will need to address their offensive spacing and ball security quickly if they are to remain competitive in the fixtures ahead.
