Key moments

The decisive run came late in the third quarter. With Rouiba CB leading 58-55, their defense forced three straight turnovers and sparked a 12-2 surge. The run was capped by back-to-back three-pointers, pushing the lead to 70-57 and forcing NA Hussein Dey to call timeout.

NA Hussein Dey fought back in the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit to seven at 84-77 with three minutes remaining. Rouiba CB responded with a clutch mid-range jumper and a fast-break layup to push the lead back to double digits. Hussein Dey continued to battle, but Rouiba’s free-throw shooting in the final minute sealed the win.

Tactical story

Rouiba CB’s offense was centered on spacing and quick ball movement. Their guards attacked off ball screens and found open shooters when Hussein Dey’s defense collapsed. Rouiba also excelled in transition, scoring easy baskets off long rebounds and steals.

NA Hussein Dey’s interior play kept them in the game, particularly in the first half. Their forwards attacked the offensive glass and scored efficiently around the rim. However, they struggled to contain Rouiba’s perimeter penetration and were forced into rotations that left shooters open. Turnovers in the third quarter proved costly.

Standout performers

Rouiba CB’s point guard was the catalyst, scoring in double figures and controlling the tempo. Their shooting guard added timely three-pointers, while the center contributed important rebounds and interior defense. NA Hussein Dey’s power forward led his team with a strong scoring and rebounding performance, but he lacked enough support in the closing minutes.

Season impact

The victory gives Rouiba CB an important home win in the Algeria Super Division standings and reinforces their offensive potential. NA Hussein Dey leave with a competitive loss but will need to improve their perimeter defense and late-game execution. Rouiba’s ability to turn defense into quick offense remains one of their strongest weapons.
