For Hussein Dey, it is a valuable road win; for Binisaf CR, it is a frustrating near miss that will sting for some time.

Binisaf CR 64-67 NA Hussein Dey: Match Overview

From the opening quarter, this looked like a matchup between two teams unwilling to give ground. Binisaf CR and NA Hussein Dey traded baskets through the early exchanges, and the defensive intensity on both sides kept the scoring modest. Neither team managed to open a double-digit advantage, meaning the contest remained a possession-by-possession affair throughout.

The narrow three-point final margin tells the story of the night. Hussein Dey found just enough separation in the closing stretch, while Binisaf CR were left to reflect on the possessions that got away. In games this tight, the difference is usually a handful of made free throws, a timely steal, or one well-executed set play — and Hussein Dey delivered those details when they mattered.

Key Moments

The game was effectively a grind for three quarters before opening up in the fourth. Binisaf CR stayed within reach thanks to determined defensive work and second-chance points, but Hussein Dey's ability to slow the tempo in the final minutes proved decisive. The visitors' late-game composure stood out, as they protected a slender lead and forced Binisaf into difficult, contested attempts.

• Binisaf CR kept the game within a single possession for much of the second half
• NA Hussein Dey's late-game execution and free-throw shooting proved the difference
• Neither side broke 70 points, reflecting the defensive nature of the contest
• The result was sealed in the final minutes, with Hussein Dey holding firm

Tactical Story

With just 131 combined points, this was a game shaped by defence. Binisaf CR tried to control the paint and limit Hussein Dey's clean looks, and for long stretches that approach worked. Hussein Dey, however, were patient, working the ball for higher-percentage opportunities rather than settling for rushed shots.

The tactical battle came down to tempo. Binisaf CR wanted to push in transition and use the home crowd, but Hussein Dey were content to slow the game down and turn it into a half-court contest. That approach limited the number of easy baskets Binisaf could generate and forced the home side to earn every point.

Standout Performances

Hussein Dey's scoring was spread across the roster rather than concentrated in one player, which made them harder to defend. Their guards managed the clock well in the fourth quarter and refused to be rattled by the pressure of a road game. For Binisaf CR, there were encouraging individual contributions on the defensive end, but the team as a whole lacked the final offensive push to complete the comeback or hold onto a lead.

Season Impact

Road wins in the Algeria Super Division are hard to come by, and this result gives NA Hussein Dey important momentum as the campaign develops. It also signals that they are capable of winning the tight, low-scoring games that often determine where a team finishes in the standings. Binisaf CR, meanwhile, will view this as a missed opportunity at home, but the performance suggests they will remain competitive against mid-table opposition.

With such a narrow margin deciding the outcome, a rematch later in the season promises to be another closely fought affair. For now, Hussein Dey can celebrate a gritty 67-64 win, while Binisaf CR must regroup and convert their next close game into points.
