ZKK Medvescak (W) defeated Jolly JBS Sibenik (W) 75-61 in the Adriatic Women’s Basketball League on October 28, 2026, using a balanced offensive performance and a strong second-half push to secure a 14-point win. The hosts gradually pulled away after a competitive opening, turning defensive stops into enough scoring to control the final quarter.

Match overview

Medvescak’s victory was built on patience and balance. The hosts moved the ball well, attacked the paint when the opportunity appeared, and made Sibenik work for every shot at the other end. Jolly JBS Sibenik stayed competitive early by knocking down timely perimeter shots, but Medvescak’s defensive pressure and rebounding began to tell as the game wore on.

The final score reflected Medvescak’s ability to sustain execution over four quarters. Sibenik had stretches of good play, particularly when it pushed the pace, but the visitors could not string together enough stops to seriously threaten in the closing period.

How the game unfolded

The first quarter was tightly contested, with both teams trading baskets and testing each other’s defensive rotations. Medvescak looked to establish an inside presence, while Sibenik relied on ball movement and outside shooting. Neither side managed to build a significant lead early.

The second half is where the game shifted. Medvescak tightened its defense, contested shots more aggressively, and began to win the rebound battle. That combination limited Sibenik’s second-chance opportunities and allowed the hosts to build a lead that they protected with composed half-court offense.

Key moments

The decisive run came in the third quarter. Medvescak strung together several defensive stops and converted them into points at the other end, forcing Sibenik to call for a reset. The hosts’ ability to score in transition and from the perimeter during that stretch turned a close game into a more comfortable advantage.

Sibenik tried to respond in the fourth quarter, but Medvescak had an answer each time. A timely three-pointer and a pair of strong defensive possessions helped the hosts keep the margin in double digits, and the final minutes were managed with maturity.

Tactical story

Medvescak’s defensive activity was the foundation of the win. The hosts rotated well, helped inside, and forced Sibenik into contested looks. On offense, Medvescak shared the ball and attacked mismatches, making it difficult for Sibenik to key in on one scorer.

Jolly JBS Sibenik’s best moments came when it played with pace and moved the ball quickly. However, the visitors struggled to maintain that rhythm against Medvescak’s half-court defense. Sibenik’s rebounding also dipped in the second half, limiting the extra possessions it needed to stay close.

Standout performers

Medvescak received contributions across the rotation. The guards controlled the tempo and found open teammates, while the frontcourt provided scoring around the rim and important rebounds. The bench added energy and helped maintain the hosts’ defensive intensity.

For Sibenik, the perimeter players showed confidence and kept the team in the game during the first half. The interior players battled on the boards, but Sibenik’s offense became more difficult as Medvescak’s defense tightened in the second half.

What it means

The win is a useful result for ZKK Medvescak in the Adriatic Women’s Basketball League, reinforcing the value of balanced scoring and defensive consistency. A double-digit home victory can build momentum and provide confidence heading into the next stretch of the season.

Jolly JBS Sibenik will look to learn from a game in which it stayed competitive early but lost control in the second half. The visitors showed flashes of quality, particularly on the perimeter, but will need more consistent defense and rebounding to turn close starts into complete performances.
