Key moments

The decisive stretch came midway through the third quarter, when Sutjeska produced a 10-0 run over two minutes. The burst was fueled by back-to-back steals and a three-pointer from the top of the key, pushing the lead to 65-48. MZT answered with a 9-2 run of its own, but Sutjeska's half-court defense tightened again and prevented a serious late comeback.

Tactical story

Sutjeska's interior scoring and offensive rebounding gave them a clear edge. The home side consistently attacked the paint and earned second-chance points, while MZT relied heavily on jump shots. When MZT tried to speed up the game in the fourth, Sutjeska handled the pressure and protected the ball. The visitors' three-point shooting kept them within reach but was not enough to offset the rebounding disparity.

Standout players

Sutjeska's power forward dominated inside with 23 points and 10 rebounds, setting the tone on both ends. The home point guard added 14 points and seven assists, while the bench contributed 18 points. MZT Skopje's shooting guard led the visitors with 21 points, including four three-pointers, but the team's frontcourt struggled against Sutjeska's physicality.

Standings and season impact

The win is an important one in the Adriatic Basketball D2 standings, giving Sutjeska a strong home result against a competitive MZT side. For MZT Skopje, the loss leaves room for improvement on the glass and in half-court defense. Both teams will look to use this game as a benchmark as the D2 season progresses.
