Match Overview

• League: Adriatic Basketball Association League
• Home Team: Borac
• Away Team: Siroki Prima Pivo
• Final Score: Borac 81 – 87 Siroki Prima Pivo
• Result: Siroki Prima Pivo win by 6 points

Borac came into the game with the advantage of home support and the familiarity of their own gym, but Siroki Prima Pivo neutralized that edge with a patient, well-organized performance that traveled well.

How the Game Unfolded

The opening quarter was a cagey affair, with both teams feeling each other out and trading baskets at a measured pace. Borac looked to establish their inside game early, drawing fouls and working the ball into the post, while Siroki Prima Pivo answered with ball movement and timely perimeter shooting.

The second quarter saw the tempo rise. Siroki Prima Pivo began to find separation through their half-court offense, punishing Borac's defensive rotations with quick ball reversals and open corner threes. Borac responded with a run of their own before the break, keeping the deficit manageable and the home crowd engaged.

After halftime, the game tightened considerably. Neither team could pull away, and the lead changed hands multiple times as both coaches shuffled rotations. The third quarter ended with the game very much in the balance.

The fourth quarter is where Siroki Prima Pivo asserted themselves. Executing patiently in the half court and converting key free throws down the stretch, the visitors kept Borac at arm's length. A couple of crucial defensive stops in the final minutes sealed the win, denying the hosts the late run they needed to steal the game.

Tactical Story

Siroki Prima Pivo's ability to control the tempo was central to the result. By slowing the game down and forcing Borac to defend for extended possessions, they limited the home side's transition opportunities and kept the crowd quiet. Their three-point shooting stretched Borac's defense, opening driving lanes in the second half.

Borac's effort was built on physicality around the rim, and they succeeded in getting to the free-throw line, but their outside shooting was inconsistent, particularly in the decisive final period. Missed shots late in the clock gave Siroki Prima Pivo exactly the possessions they wanted.

Standout Performers

For the winners, the backcourt delivered poise and shot-making when it mattered most, while the forward rotation contributed crucial rebounds on both ends. The bench also made a meaningful impact, giving Siroki Prima Pivo fresh legs during the game's more demanding stretches.

Borac will take encouragement from their frontcourt productivity and the intensity of their rebounding, but will rue a handful of untimely turnovers and empty possessions in the fourth quarter that ultimately tilted the game toward the visitors.

Season Impact

With this result, Siroki Prima Pivo add a valuable away win to their Adriatic Basketball Association League campaign, the kind of road success that boosts confidence and standings position alike. Winning in a hostile environment against a direct competitor can be worth more than the single victory suggests.

For Borac, the loss is a frustrating one given how close they stayed for three and a half quarters. The challenge now is converting competitive performances into wins, particularly in tight fourth quarters where execution decides the outcome.
