Mega Leks secured a hard-fought 94-88 road victory over Basket Club Vienna in the Adriatic Basketball Association League on October 25, 2026, using a decisive fourth-quarter surge to turn a tightly contested game in their favor. The win underlined Mega Leks’ ability to close out away games under pressure, while Vienna were left to reflect on a strong opening stretch that ultimately went unrewarded.

Match overview

Basket Club Vienna came out with energy in front of their home support, attacking the rim early and forcing Mega Leks into a series of half-court possessions. The hosts built a narrow advantage through aggressive transition play and second-chance points, but Mega Leks stayed within striking distance by moving the ball patiently and converting from the perimeter. The first half remained balanced, with neither side able to establish a double-digit cushion.

After the break, the game tightened further. Vienna continued to find success inside, but Mega Leks began to control the tempo, limiting turnovers and pushing the pace when the opportunity arose. The visitors took the lead for good midway through the fourth quarter, then held their nerve at the free-throw line as Vienna were forced to foul.

Key moments

• Mega Leks closed the third quarter with a short run that erased Vienna’s slim advantage and shifted the momentum.
• A pair of timely three-pointers early in the fourth gave the visitors a lead they would not surrender.
• Vienna had chances to level the game in the final two minutes, but Mega Leks’ defensive rotations forced contested shots.
• Late free throws from the Mega Leks backcourt sealed the result and kept the home crowd quiet.

Tactical story

The contest was decided by Mega Leks’ superior late-game execution. Vienna were effective when able to play in transition, but Mega Leks slowed the game down in the closing period and forced the hosts into half-court sets. The visitors’ ability to switch defensively and contest shots without fouling proved crucial, especially as Vienna searched for quick points in the final minutes. Mega Leks also won the battle on the offensive glass in the second half, creating extra possessions that translated into crucial second-chance baskets.

Standout performers

Mega Leks’ backcourt controlled the game down the stretch, combining steady ball-handling with timely shot-making. Their leading scorer was effective both from beyond the arc and at the rim, while the team’s interior players protected the paint and limited Vienna’s easy looks. For Vienna, the frontcourt delivered a strong effort on the boards and kept the hosts competitive, but the team lacked the same late-game efficiency that Mega Leks displayed.

Season impact

The victory strengthens Mega Leks’ position in the Adriatic Basketball Association League standings and adds another valuable away result to their resume. For Basket Club Vienna, the defeat is a frustrating one given the closeness of the contest, but the performance showed they can compete with strong opposition. The head-to-head result may also matter if the two sides remain in the same bracket later in the season.
