Doxa Lefkadas B.C. won a high-scoring Greek Basket League encounter 94-86 over Iraklis B.C. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, using a balanced offensive attack and a strong second-half response to hold off a determined comeback.

Final score: Doxa Lefkadas B.C. 94, Iraklis B.C. 86.

Match overview

This was a game played at a fast pace from the start. Both teams looked comfortable attacking early in the shot clock, and the first half featured plenty of scoring runs. Doxa Lefkadas found rhythm from the perimeter, while Iraklis attacked the paint and used its physicality to stay close.

The difference for much of the night was Doxa’s ability to string together quick scoring bursts. Every time Iraklis seemed ready to take control, Doxa answered with a three-pointer or a transition basket. The home side’s spacing and ball movement made them difficult to guard, especially when Iraklis tried to help inside.

Key moments

The decisive stretch came in the third quarter, when Doxa Lefkadas put together a double-digit run to create separation. The home side forced a few quick Iraklis possessions, converted on the break and knocked down open looks from beyond the arc. Iraklis responded with a run of its own in the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit to four points at one stage, but Doxa had another answer.

A timely three-pointer and a pair of free throws in the closing minutes restored Doxa’s cushion. Iraklis kept fighting until the final buzzer, but the home side’s execution in the half-court during the last three minutes proved decisive.

Tactical story

Doxa Lefkadas B.C. won this game with offensive efficiency. The home side moved the ball well, attacked closeouts and punished Iraklis whenever the defense rotated late. Their perimeter shooting stretched the floor and opened driving lanes, creating a difficult choice for Iraklis: protect the paint or chase shooters.

Iraklis B.C. did well to compete on the glass and score inside, but the visitors were forced to expend a lot of energy coming back from deficits. Their defensive rotations were a step slow at key moments, and Doxa made them pay with timely shots. The Greek Basket League result was a clear example of how dangerous Doxa can be when their outside shooting is clicking.

• Doxa’s perimeter spacing: The home side created open looks by moving the ball quickly.
• Iraklis’s paint scoring: The visitors stayed in the game by attacking the rim.
• Late-game poise: Doxa made the bigger shots in the final five minutes.

Standout performers

Doxa’s perimeter scorers carried much of the offensive load, knocking down important shots and keeping the pressure on Iraklis’s defense. The home side’s guards also controlled the tempo well, knowing when to push in transition and when to settle into a set.

For Iraklis, the forward line was effective around the basket, scoring through contact and creating second-chance opportunities. The visitors’ effort deserved more from the game, but they could not get enough defensive stops during Doxa’s decisive third-quarter run.
