The straight-sets victory gave Anioly Torun a full three points and reinforced their reputation as a difficult team to beat on home court. Mckis Jaworzno arrived with hopes of stretching the match, but the visitors struggled to contain Torun’s serve-and-block pressure. • Second set: Mckis Jaworzno stayed close early, but a mid-set block from the home middle blockers sparked a decisive surge to 18-13.

Tactical story

Anioly Torun’s game plan was built on aggressive serving and disciplined block-defense. The home team consistently targeted the opposing outside hitters, forcing Mckis Jaworzno into predictable attacks. Torun’s defense read those angles well, turning several scrambled rallies into counterattacking points. The hosts also varied their offense effectively, mixing quick middle attacks with high sets to the pins.

Mckis Jaworzno improved in the third set and found more success through the middle, but the team’s error count rose whenever Torun raised the serving pressure. The visitors were unable to generate enough block touches to slow the home attack, and Torun’s setter kept the offense balanced throughout.

Standout players

Anioly Torun captain and outside hitter Michal Zielinski led the home attack with a steady all-around performance, while middle blocker Bartosz Kowalski made a major impact at the net. Setter Krzysztof Adamski controlled the tempo and repeatedly found favorable matchups. For Mckis Jaworzno, Pawel Nowicki was the most consistent attacking threat, but he lacked enough support in the closing stages of each set.

Season impact

The result strengthens Anioly Torun’s position in the TAURON I. Liga standings and gives the squad momentum heading into a demanding stretch of fixtures. For Mckis Jaworzno, the defeat highlights the need for greater consistency in serve reception and side-out play. Torun’s three-point haul is especially valuable in a league where home victories and clean sweeps can shape the promotion race.
