Mladost Women produced a dominant 3-0 home win over Nebo Women in the Superliga Women on October 18, 2026, taking the match 25-17, 25-19, 25-21. The straight-sets victory was built on serving pressure, disciplined blocking and a balanced attacking performance.

Match overview

Mladost Women started strongly and never really allowed Nebo Women to settle. The home side’s serve disrupted Nebo’s reception early, creating easy transition points and a comfortable 25-17 first-set win. The second set followed a similar pattern. Mladost kept the tempo high, varied their attack and maintained a safe advantage before closing it 25-19.

Nebo Women improved after the interval, finding more rhythm in attack and competing better at the net. The third set was closer, but Mladost Women’s experience in the key moments told. They pulled away late to finish 25-21 and complete the sweep.

Key moments

• First set: Mladost’s early serving run set up a 25-17 lead.
• Second set: The home block controlled the middle and helped secure a 25-19 advantage.
• Third set: Nebo stayed close, but Mladost won the decisive points to close it 25-21.

Tactical story

Mladost Women controlled the match through serve and block. Their serving strategy pushed Nebo Women into predictable attacking patterns, allowing the home block to read the play and close space. When rallies extended, Mladost’s defence stayed organised and their transition offence was efficient.

Nebo Women showed more resistance in the third set by improving their first contact and using the wings more effectively. However, they could not sustain that level long enough to seriously threaten the home side. Mladost’s ability to raise their game in the closing stages made the difference.

Standout performers

Mladost Women’s outside hitter was a consistent scoring threat, while the middle blocker controlled the net with several important blocks. The setter kept the offence balanced and used the middle effectively to create one-on-one opportunities on the pins. For Nebo Women, the opposite hitter was the most persistent attacking option.

Season impact

The three points boost Mladost Women in the Superliga Women standings and reinforce their credentials as a side capable of controlling matches from start to finish. Nebo Women will take lessons from the third-set improvement but will need greater consistency in reception and sideout play. The result adds to Mladost’s strong home record this season.
