HAOK Mladost Deliver Statement 3-0 Win at Trnje

HAOK Mladost produced a commanding away performance in the Superliga, defeating Trnje 3-0 on October 17, 2026. The visitors won 25-17, 25-19 and 25-21, controlling the match from the opening set and showing why they remain one of the most dangerous sides in the competition.

Trnje competed with energy, particularly in the third set, but HAOK Mladost’s serving power and attacking depth proved too much. The straight-sets win gives Mladost a strong result on the road and adds another confident performance to their season.

Match Overview

The first set was largely one-way traffic. Mladost served aggressively, disrupted Trnje’s reception and built an early lead that they never looked like surrendering. The visitors’ block also made life difficult for Trnje’s outside hitters, and the set closed 25-17.

Trnje improved in the second set, extending rallies and finding a few successful attacks through the middle. However, Mladost’s consistency in transition kept the visitors in front. A late scoring run secured the set 25-19. The third set was the most competitive, with Trnje staying close for much of the frame, but Mladost’s experience and firepower told in the closing points as they took it 25-21.

Key Moments

• Early serving run: Mladost’s pressure from the service line immediately put Trnje on the back foot in the first set.
• Second-set transition: The visitors converted several difficult defensive plays into points, breaking Trnje’s momentum.
• Third-set closing: With Trnje within striking distance, Mladost produced a composed final sequence to complete the sweep.

Tactical Story

HAOK Mladost’s victory was built on a clear tactical identity: aggressive serving, disciplined block defense and efficient transition attacking. The visitors consistently forced Trnje into uncomfortable passes, which allowed their block to read the play and close down attacking lanes. Mladost’s setter also used the middle effectively, keeping Trnje’s defense guessing and creating space for the wings.

Trnje’s best periods came when they managed to slow the game down and build attacks through the middle. Their block also produced a few important stops, but the team struggled to sustain pressure. Too many points ended quickly after disrupted reception, and Mladost’s side-out game remained steady under pressure.

Standout Performers

Mladost’s outside hitters were central to the win, delivering consistent scoring and handling a heavy workload in attack. The middle blockers added important points in transition and gave the team a strong presence at the net. The libero’s defensive coverage helped Mladost survive Trnje’s best spells, while the setter controlled the rhythm of the match with authority.

For Trnje, the third-set effort showed character. Their middle attack produced some of the team’s best moments, and the home crowd responded to the side’s improved energy. The challenge now is to bring that level across an entire match against a team of Mladost’s quality.

Season Impact

The 3-0 win keeps HAOK Mladost on track in the Superliga and reinforces their credentials as a side capable of challenging at the top. Away wins in straight sets are especially valuable, both for the standings and for team confidence. For Trnje, the result is a reminder of the gap that still needs closing against the league’s stronger teams, but the third-set performance offers a platform to build on.

Mladost will aim to maintain their serving and blocking standards in the next round, while Trnje will focus on improving reception and finding more consistency in attack. The Superliga season is long, and both teams will have opportunities to shape their campaigns in the weeks ahead.
