Key Moments

Radnicki started strongly, taking the first set 25-19 behind efficient attacking and a solid block. Gornji Milanovac responded in the second set, extending rallies and taking advantage of a brief dip in Radnicki’s serve-receive to win it 25-22 and level the match.

The home side’s response in the third set was decisive. Radnicki re-established control early, built a lead through aggressive serving and closed the set 25-18. The fourth set was tighter, but Radnicki held its nerve in the final points, finishing the match 25-21 to avoid any chance of a fifth set.

Tactical Story

Radnicki’s victory was built on service pressure and better blocking in the latter half of the match. After the second-set setback, the home team served more aggressively, forcing Gornji Milanovac into uncomfortable attacking positions. That allowed Radnicki’s block to set up more effectively and created transition chances for its outside hitters.

Gornji Milanovac’s best volleyball came in the second set, when its reception held up and the team was able to involve the middle attack. Once Radnicki increased the serve intensity, however, the visitors struggled to maintain that variety. Radnicki also reduced its unforced errors in the third and fourth sets, which proved crucial in a match where momentum shifted early.

Standout Performers

Radnicki’s opposite hitter was a consistent scoring outlet, especially in the third set when the home side needed to reassert control. The middle blockers also played a key role, contributing both offensively and at the net. Radnicki’s libero produced several important defensive plays that kept rallies alive during Gornji Milanovac’s strongest periods.

For Gornji Milanovac, the outside hitters carried much of the attacking responsibility and kept the team competitive in the second and fourth sets. The visitors will be disappointed to have lost the fourth set after staying close, but they showed enough to suggest they can challenge teams in the Superliga this season.

Season Impact

The 3-1 win gives Radnicki a valuable three-point result and strengthens its position in the Superliga standings. Winning after dropping a set is often a sign of a team’s maturity, and Radnicki’s ability to raise its level in the third and fourth sets will please the coaching staff. Gornji Milanovac leaves with a defeat but with useful lessons about managing serve pressure in tight sets.
