Partizan secured a 3-1 home victory over OK Vojvodina in the Superliga on 24 October 2026, winning 25-21, 22-25, 25-19, 25-23. The hosts responded well after dropping the second set, reasserting control with stronger serving and a more consistent block to take three important points.

Match overview

Partizan began the match with purpose, using the home crowd to fuel an energetic opening set. OK Vojvodina responded in the second, raising their attacking tempo and finding success through the wings. But Partizan adjusted quickly, tightening their defense and serving with greater precision to reclaim the initiative in the third and fourth sets.

The fourth set was the most tense of the night. OK Vojvodina kept the score close and had chances to force a fifth set, but Partizan’s composure in the closing rallies proved decisive. The home side’s ability to score in transition made the difference when the match reached its critical moments.

Set-by-set story

• First set, 25-21: Partizan established an early lead with aggressive serving and a solid block. OK Vojvodina stayed within touching distance but could not close the gap late in the set.
• Second set, 22-25: Vojvodina improved their reception and attacked with more confidence. The visitors leveled the match with a strong finish, capitalizing on a brief dip in Partizan’s serving pressure.
• Third set, 25-19: Partizan regained control from the opening serve. Their middle blockers made several important stops, and the outside hitters found space against a stretched Vojvodina block.
• Fourth set, 25-23: The set was tight throughout, with both teams trading points. Partizan edged ahead late and closed the match with a block and a well-placed attack.

Tactical talking points

Partizan’s serving strategy was key. They targeted Vojvodina’s reception lines and forced the visitors into more predictable attacks, allowing the home block to react earlier. When Partizan served well, their defense looked organized and their transition game flowed. The setter also did a good job of involving the middle, which kept Vojvodina’s blockers from loading up on the wings.

OK Vojvodina’s best period came in the second set, when their serve reception stabilized and they were able to run a more varied attack. Their opposite hitter caused problems for Partizan’s block, and their defense extended several rallies. However, Vojvodina could not maintain that level of consistency, especially in the fourth set when Partizan increased the pressure at the net.

Standout performers

Partizan’s outside hitter produced a strong performance, scoring key points in the first and fourth sets. The middle blockers were influential in the third-set surge, while the libero’s defensive work helped the hosts control long rallies. For OK Vojvodina, the setter kept the attack unpredictable for much of the match, and the opposite hitter was the team’s most reliable scoring option.

Season impact

The 3-1 victory gives Partizan three points and strengthens their position in the Superliga standings. It was a performance that showed character after losing the second set, and it underlined the value of home advantage in a competitive league. OK Vojvodina will be disappointed to leave without a point, but their second-set display showed they can compete with the top sides.

Partizan will look to build on the win by improving their consistency from set to set. If they can maintain the serving and blocking level they showed in the third and fourth sets, they will be a difficult team to beat in the coming rounds.
