Ub Women produced a commanding performance to defeat Tent Women 3-0 and lift the Super Cup Women title. The match, played on 4 October 2026, was decided in straight sets, with Ub controlling the key moments in each set to deny their opponents any real foothold in the contest.

Match Overview

• Competition: Super Cup Women
• Final result: Tent Women 0 – 3 Ub Women
• Set scores: 21-25, 19-25, 22-25
• Trophy: Super Cup Women title awarded to Ub Women

Ub Women started with clear purpose, taking the opening set 25-21 behind efficient attacking and disciplined serving. Tent Women competed hard in every set — the margins were never embarrassing — but they consistently found themselves chasing the game rather than dictating it.

Key Moments

The first set set the tone. Tent stayed in touch through the middle portion, but Ub's ability to score in transition proved decisive, and a late run of points closed out the set. The second set followed a similar pattern: a competitive opening, followed by Ub pulling clear as Tent's attacking options narrowed under pressure.

The third set was Tent's best. They led at the technical timeout and looked capable of extending the match, only for Ub to respond with a composed, point-by-point surge in the closing stages. That response — calm, organised, and ruthless at 20-20 — was the clearest illustration of the difference between the two sides on the night.

Tactical Story

Ub's victory was built on the serve. By mixing power with well-placed short serves, they consistently disrupted Tent's reception and forced them into predictable attacking situations. Ub's block then capitalised, closing the net and converting defensive positioning into points at crucial junctures.

Tent's clearest successes came when they managed to establish their middle attack and pull Ub's blockers out of position. When that rhythm was interrupted, however, their offence became one-dimensional, and Ub's backcourt defence handled the resulting high balls comfortably.

Standout Performers

Ub's opposite hitter was the standout attacking force, delivering in the tight moments of all three sets. Their setter controlled the tempo throughout, keeping the offence balanced and finding the right hitter in transition. Defensively, Ub's libero was excellent in serve reception, giving the team the platform to run its preferred patterns.

For Tent Women, the captain and outside hitters fought hard and produced several of the match's best rallies. There were positives to take from the third set in particular, but the team will know that converting competitive stretches into set wins is the next step.

What the Trophy Means

The Super Cup Women is a statement fixture — the first meaningful silverware of the season and a psychological marker for the campaign ahead. Ub Women's straight-sets victory sends an early message about their credentials, while Tent Women leave with a clear picture of what needs to improve. With the league season now underway, both clubs will carry the lessons of this match forward, and a rematch later in the campaign will be worth watching closely.
