Tactical Story: Prostejov B Control the Net

Prostejov B’s victory was built on serve-receive stability and a well-organized block. The hosts consistently targeted the Brno B outside hitters with deep, float serves, reducing the visitors’ ability to run their middle attack. When Brno B did manage to keep the ball in play, Prostejov B’s blockers were quick to close the angles, turning defence into transition points.

KP Brno B showed flashes of quality in the second set, especially through its left-side attack, but the team lacked the passing consistency needed to sustain pressure. Too many rallies ended with hurried swings or free balls, allowing Prostejov B to dictate the tempo from the first whistle to the last.

Standout Performers

Tereza Nováková led the Prostejov B attack with a composed all-round display, mixing power from the wing with smart tips in behind the Brno B block. Markéta Svobodová controlled the middle, contributing important blocks and quick attacks, while setter Klára Dvořáková distributed the ball efficiently and kept her hitters in favourable situations.

For KP Brno B, Barbora Kučerová worked hard in defence and produced several notable digs, but the visitors could not generate enough consistent offence to seriously challenge the hosts.

What the Result Means in 1. liga Women

The 3-0 win strengthens Prostejov B’s position in the 1. liga Women standings and provides valuable momentum for a reserve group that relies on rhythm and confidence. For KP Brno B, the defeat is a reminder of the fine margins in the division: without stable reception, even well-organized defensive teams can struggle to stay in sets.

Prostejov B will look to carry the same serving aggression into its next fixture, while KP Brno B will focus on improving first-contact quality and side-out efficiency before its next league match.
