Tactical story

Brusno Women did the simple things well: they served with purpose, kept their error count low and made Pezinok play from uncomfortable positions. Pezinok’s reception was under pressure for long stretches, which limited the effectiveness of their middle attack. Brusno’s setter used the full width of the net, keeping the home block guessing, and the visitors’ back-row defence was excellent in transition. Pezinok tried to change the rhythm with substitutions and a more aggressive service game, but Brusno’s composure held.

Standout performers

Brusno’s opposite hitter was a consistent scoring threat, particularly in the second set when the visitors pulled away. Their libero also had a strong match, repeatedly extending rallies and giving the team extra attacking chances. For SVK Pezinok Women, the middle blocker showed fight at the net and the captain tried to drive the team forward, but the home side lacked the terminal consistency to close sets. Brusno’s bench also contributed positively when called upon.

Standings impact

The 3-0 win gives Brusno Women three important points in the Extraliga Women table and strengthens their set ratio. SVK Pezinok Women remain with questions to answer after a home defeat in which they never managed to take a set. The result will be noted across the league as a clear road statement from Brusno, who will look to build on this performance in their next fixtures.
