Iskra Women continued their strong form with a convincing 3-0 away victory over Mogilev Women in the Championship Women on 24 October 2026. The visitors won 25-20, 25-18, 25-22 to claim all three points and extend their impressive run.

Match overview

Mogilev Women hoped to use home advantage to challenge an Iskra side known for its aggressive serving and balanced attack. However, Iskra imposed themselves early, winning the key points in each set and never allowing Mogilev to settle into a comfortable rhythm. The 0-3 scoreline was a fair reflection of the visitors’ superiority.

How the sets unfolded

The first set was tight until the midway point. Mogilev led 12-10, but Iskra responded with a five-point run built on strong serving and solid block defence. From there, the visitors controlled the set, closing it out 25-20 with a well-placed tip.

The second set was more one-sided. Iskra jumped to an 8-3 lead and never looked back. Their setter varied the attack well, using the middle to keep Mogilev’s block guessing. Mogilev tried to respond with substitutions, but Iskra’s momentum was unstoppable, and the set finished 25-18.

Mogilev showed character in the third set, staying close until 18-18. At that point, Iskra’s experience told. Two crucial blocks and a service ace created a 22-18 cushion, and although Mogilev saved two match points, Iskra sealed the win 25-22.

Tactical story

Iskra Women’s victory was built on their serving and blocking. They targeted Mogilev’s left-side passer consistently, limiting the home team’s ability to run quick attacks. Their block was well-organised, often forcing Mogilev into predictable high balls that Iskra’s defence comfortably handled. Mogilev, by contrast, struggled to find consistency in transition and made too many unforced errors at critical moments.

Standout performers

• Maryna Liauchuk was excellent for Iskra, delivering key kills in all three sets and serving with real intent.
• Sviatlana Kavalchuk controlled the net and finished with several important blocks.
• For Mogilev, Iryna Bahdanovich worked hard and was a bright spot, but she lacked consistent support.

Season impact

Iskra Women’s straight-sets win keeps them in the upper reaches of the Championship Women standings and sends a clear message to their rivals. Mogilev Women, meanwhile, remain in search of consistency and will need to improve their first-contact quality if they are to climb the table. Iskra will look to build on this performance in their next outing, while Mogilev must regroup quickly.
