Erciyes 38 came from behind to beat Türk Metal Kırıkkale 2-1 in the Turkish Third League, producing a stirring second-half comeback in front of their home supporters. It was a performance built on resilience and a clear tactical adjustment at the break, and it ended with the Kayseri-based side celebrating a valuable three points.

Match Overview

Türk Metal Kırıkkale made the brighter start, pressing aggressively in midfield and disrupting Erciyes 38's rhythm in possession. Their reward came in the opening period, when they took the lead and briefly silenced the home crowd. Erciyes 38 struggled to find their passing range early on, with too many moves breaking down in the middle third.

Whatever was said at half-time worked. The hosts returned with far more urgency, pushed their wide players higher and began to pin Kırıkkale back. Two goals in the second half completed the turnaround and turned a frustrating evening into a memorable one.

Key Moments

• First half: Türk Metal Kırıkkale take the lead after a spell of pressure, catching the hosts out with a quick attacking transition.
• Half-time: Erciyes 38 reorganise, adding an extra runner in midfield and raising the tempo.
• Second half: The equaliser arrives following sustained pressure, with the home side finally finding a way through a crowded box.
• Winner: Erciyes 38 complete the comeback with a second goal that sends the home supporters into celebration.
• Final whistle: Kırıkkale push for a late leveller but are kept at arm's length.

Tactical Story

The comeback was rooted in territorial dominance. After the interval, Erciyes 38 won nearly every second ball in midfield and repeatedly turned possession into attacking entries. Their full-backs pushed on to create overloads in wide areas, and the visitors' defensive line, so composed in the first half, began to drop deeper and invite pressure.

Türk Metal Kırıkkale's threat diminished as their energy levels fell. Having defended well early on, they struggled to retain the ball once Erciyes 38 raised their pressing intensity, and the game's momentum shifted permanently in the hosts' favour after the equalising goal.

Standout Performers

Erciyes 38's central midfielder drove the second-half revival, covering enormous ground and linking defence to attack. The goalscorers deserve credit for their composure in front of goal, while the goalkeeper made a sharp save late on to preserve the win. Kırıkkale's most impressive figure was their attacking midfielder, who created the visitors' best moments and caused problems with his direct running.

Table Impact and What's Next

Winning from a losing position is often the sign of a team with genuine ambition, and Erciyes 38 will take real confidence from this result as they look to rise up the Turkish Third League standings. Türk Metal Kırıkkale leave with nothing despite a strong opening hour, and will be eager to bounce back quickly. Both clubs continue their campaigns in the next round of fixtures, with Erciyes 38 looking to build momentum from consecutive positive results.
