Ayvalikgucu Belediyespor and Söke 1970 SK shared the spoils in a hard-fought 1-1 draw in the Turkish Third League on October 3, 2026. Ayvalikgucu looked set to claim a narrow home victory after taking the lead in the first half, but Söke 1970 SK found a late equaliser to leave both teams with a point apiece.

The match, played under the lights at the Ayvalikgucu Belediyespor Stadium, was a tactical battle between two sides who knew each other well. The hosts enjoyed the better of the opening hour, while Söke grew into the contest and were rewarded for their persistence.

Match Overview

Ayvalikgucu Belediyespor started in a 4-2-3-1 formation, using quick combinations down the right to create chances. Söke 1970 SK responded with a compact 4-4-2, looking to stay organised and hit on the break. The home side controlled possession early, but Söke’s defensive discipline meant clear openings were rare.

As the game progressed, Söke began to press higher and force turnovers in midfield. That shift in approach changed the momentum and set up a tense final 20 minutes.

Key Moments

• 35th minute: Ayvalikgucu Belediyespor took the lead when Kaan Yılmaz curled a shot beyond the goalkeeper after a neat exchange on the edge of the box.
• 49th minute: Söke 1970 SK nearly replied immediately, but a close-range header went just wide of the post.
• 72nd minute: Ayvalikgucu’s goalkeeper produced a strong save to deny a low strike from the edge of the area.
• 82nd minute: Söke equalised from the penalty spot through Emre Duman after a foul inside the box.
• 90th minute: Ayvalikgucu pushed for a winner, but a last-ditch block kept the score level.

Tactical Story

Ayvalikgucu’s early control came from their midfield pressing and the willingness of the full-backs to join the attack. However, as the match wore on, they dropped deeper and invited pressure. Söke 1970 SK took advantage by committing more players forward and using the width of the pitch to stretch the home defence.

The visitors’ substitutions added energy in the final third, and their equaliser felt deserved after a sustained period of pressure. Ayvalikgucu will be disappointed not to have managed the closing stages better, especially after leading for so long.

Standout Players

Kaan Yılmaz was Ayvalikgucu’s most dangerous attacker and took his goal well. In midfield, Serkan Arslan worked tirelessly to break up Söke’s attacks. For the visitors, Emre Duman showed composure from the penalty spot, while goalkeeper Mahmut Aydın made several important saves to keep his side in the game before the late equaliser.

Season Impact

The draw leaves both teams with plenty to work on in the Turkish Third League standings. Ayvalikgucu Belediyespor will feel they dropped two points, while Söke 1970 SK can take confidence from a resilient away performance. In a division where consistency is often the difference between promotion contention and mid-table comfort, late goals like Duman’s can prove valuable by the end of the season.
